Marol
Marol is a locality in the suburb of the Andheri (East) in Mumbai, India. History The area has been inhabited for centuries, successively coming under both Portuguese and British rule. The village is filled with the Dawoodi Bohra community. They have their own residential park and have societies lined through the roads of the village. A separate hill, Burhani Hill is also present for residential purposes, all exclusive for Dawoodi Bohras. They have their own separate masjid named Saifee Masjid, which was the host for the annual congregation of Moharram in 2009, held by His Holiness Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin. In 2013, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin established bohra community's fourth branch of Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah, the Arabic academy in Marol. Marol Naka Metro Station
Marol Naka (Officially, TECNO Marol Naka) is a metro station on Line 1 of the Mumbai Metro serving the Marol neighbourhood of Andheri in Mumbai, India. It was opened to the public on 8 June 2014. Upon the metro line being commissioned for passengers, the BEST launched a special bus service Metro Pheri 1 which brings commuters from a distance to the closest of the 3 metro stations it serves. It runs from SEEPZ and via the B crossroad arrives at Chakala (J.B.Nagar) metro station then runs parallel to the metro line alongside Andheri Kurla Road touching Airport Road metro station and Marol Naka metro station then via Marol Maroshi Road back to SEEPZ. Ghatkopar (Pronunciation: ʱaːʈkopəɾ is a suburb in eastern Mumbai. The area is served by the railway station on the Central Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway and the metro station on Line 1 of the Mumbai Metro. History Ghatkopar in the 1920s was a village ringed by creeks and salt pans. It was administered by a municipal council led by a Collector of the Suburban District. JB Nagar, expanded to Jamunalal Bajaj Nagar, is a neighbourhood in Andheri (East), Mumbai. Its proximity to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport makes it a prime business district.
