Marlys Anne Edwardh, CM (born 6 March 1950) is a Canadian litigation and civil rights lawyer recognized for upholding the causes of justice and the rights of the wrongfully accused. She was one of the first women to practise criminal law in Canada. She graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of California, a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Carleton University, and an honorary Doctorate in law from the Law Society of Upper Canada. She was called to the bar in 1976. Marlis Hochbruck (born 12 June 1964) is a German applied mathematician and numerical analyst known for her research on matrix exponentials, exponential integrators, and their applications to the numerical solution of differential equations. She is a professor in the Institute for Applied and Numerical Mathematics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Education and career Hochbruck went to high school in Krefeld, and studied Technomathematics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology from 1983 to 1989. She completed her Ph.D. at Karlsruhe in 1992. Marlys Laverne Koschinsky (born 1959) is a Canadian cardiovascular researcher. , she is the executive director at the University of Western Ontario's Robarts Research Institute. Koschinsky formally served as Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Windsor. Early life and education Koschinsky was born in 1959. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in 1982 from the University of Winnipeg and was subsequently awarded the Chancellor's gold medal for highest standing in the 4-year science program. Marlys Joy Millhiser (May 27, 1938 – April 20, 2017) was an American author of mysteries (the ''Charlie Greene'' series) and horror novels, including her most famous one '' The Mirror'', published in 1978. Career Born in Sindelfingen, Baden-Württemberg, Marlis Petersen won six important piano competitions before eventually going to the Stuttgart Conservatory where she studied music education, flute and dance as well as voice.
