Marlena Spieler
Marlena Spieler (born 16 April 1949) is a food writer of more than 70 cookbooks. She formerly contributed for ''Bon Appétit'', ''Saveur'' and the ''San Francisco Chronicle'' food column "The Roving Feast." Early life Spieler was born in Sacramento, California. As a student, she started drawing recipes while she attended an art school. Her life interest was focused on cooking, tasting, and sharing stories about food. Career Spieler's publications is based on cooking, eating and sharing. As a food writer, she was the former Roving Feast columnist for The ''San Francisco Chronicle''. She also works for radio and T.V. shows. She has written over 70 cookbooks. Spieler's book, "The Classic Barbecue and Grill Cookbook was a #1 best-seller in the UK. The ''San Francisco Chronicle'' is a newspaper serving primarily the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. It was founded in 1865 as ''The Daily Dramatic Chronicle'' by teenage brothers Charles de Young and M. H. de Young, Michael H. de Young.
