Marko Šćekić
Marko Šćekić (born May 23, 1981) is a Bosnia-born Serbian professional basketball coach and former player who is a staff member of Borac Banja Luka of the Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Professional career A power forward, Šćekić played for Drina Zvornik, Borac Banja Luka, Vojvodina Srbijagas, Turów Zgorzelec, EWE Baskets Oldenburg, Budućnost, and Mapooro Cantù. On August 3, 2013, Šćekić signed with Cimberio Varese. In September 2014, he signed an open-contract with Igokea. In early November 2014, Igokea released him. In March 2014, he signed with the Slovenian club Helios Suns Domžale. He retired as a player with Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje in 2015. In February 2019, Šćekić came out of retirement and signed for Borac Banja Luka for the rest of the 2018–19 season. He was an assistant coach for Borac at the time. Basketball Championship Of Bosnia And Herzegovina
The Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the top–tier men's professional basketball league in Bosnia and Herzegovina for men and women, respectively. The league is operated by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Competition format The league is composed of 12 teams, each playing against the other eleven two times, home and away. After this portion concludes, the top six clubs are joined by the country's representatives in the Adriatic League, and enter "League 6". The best of these four teams go to the playoffs, and in the final best-of-five series, the Bosnian champion is crowned. The eight teams who do not make the playoffs go on to compete in the "relegation league," where a team's object becomes maintaining its standing and ability to play in the competition the following year. The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Montenegrin Basketball Cup is an annual cup competition for Montenegrin basketball teams held since 2007. History Montenegrin clubs in Yugoslav Cup Before the Montenegrin independence in 2006, clubs from Montenegro played in national Cup of Yugoslavia. Most successful was KK Budućnost with three trophies won. First time, Budućnost won the trophy at final-four 1996 in Nikšić, defeating KK Partizan (126–115) in the final. The Prva A liga, for sponsorships reasons named the Erste Liga, is the top-tier professional basketball league in Montenegro. It is the highest basketball division organized by the Basketball Association of Montenegro (KSCG). The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a "Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season.
