Mark Schultz (musician)
Mark Mitchell Schultz (born September 16, 1970) is an American contemporary Christian music artist. He has been nominated for numerous Dove Awards, winning his first at the 2006 Dove Awards when the CD/DVD ''Mark Schultz Live: A Night of Stories & Songs'' was named Long Form Music Video of the Year. Background Mark Schultz was adopted at two weeks old by his parents Gary and Ronita Schultz in Kansas City, Kansas. He has an older brother, Brad and a younger sister, Susan. Most of his childhood was spent in Colby, KS where he attended Colby Elementary School. When he was about eight years old, Schultz began to teach himself piano by ear. Schultz attended Colby High School and sang in musicals and with his friends in a band. He was also very involved in athletics as a basketball player, a track runner, a pitcher in baseball, and the quarterback of the football team. Colby, Kansas
Colby is a city in and the county seat of Thomas County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 5,570. History In 1882, a post office was established near the center of Thomas County. Area homesteaders lived under harsh conditions in sod houses, creating demand for a town to provide lumber and other provisions to incoming settlers. J.R. Colby, a local land assessor and preacher, obtained a patent to establish the town in April 1884, and land was acquired for the town site three miles north of the post office in March 1885. The following month, the Kansas Secretary of State issued the Town Charter. Kansas Gov. John Martin named Colby the county seat in 1885, and the city was incorporated in 1886. The Union Pacific Railroad reached the city in 1887, and the Rock Island Railroad followed the next year. Up with People stages song and dance performances promoting themes such as multiculturalism, racial equality, and positive thinking. Aaron Shust
Aaron Michael Shust (born October 31, 1975) is an American contemporary Christian music artist formerly on the Brash Music and Centricity Music labels, and now on his own label. Shust was named the Songwriter of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards of 2007, and his song, "My Savior My God", received the Song of the Year award. Biography Shust was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He studied music theory at Toccoa Falls College in Georgia. While there, he studied Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Sebastian Bach. He also became influenced by U2 and Bob Marley. He began performing at churches and coffeehouses while attending college.
