Mark Russell (comics)
Mark Russell (born 1971) is an American author, cartoonist, and comic book writer. Books Russell is the author of ''God Is Disappointed in You'' (Top Shelf Productions, 2013), a modern re-telling of the Bible (with cartoons by New Yorker cartoonist Shannon Wheeler) as well as a follow up book about non-canonical Christian and Jewish texts called ''Apocrypha Now'' (Top Shelf Productions/IDW, 2016). Comics In 2015, Russell made his debut in comics with his critically acclaimed reboot of the 1973–74 comic '' Prez'' (Issues 1–6, DC Comics), drawn by Ben Caldwell, in which a teenager is elected and serves as President of the United States. ''Storytellers Telling Stories'' is an episodic podcast created and hosted by writer and showrunner Jude Brewer, harkening back to the Golden Age of Radio as a "theatre of the mind" experience with writers, actors, and musicians. Red Sonja
Red Sonja is a fictional sword and sorcery comic-book superheroine created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Barry Windsor-Smith for Marvel Comics in 1973, partially inspired by Robert E. Howard's character Red Sonya of Rogatino. Marvel Comics published stories featuring Red Sonja until 1986, and returned to the character for a one-shot story in 1995.
