Mark Peel (historian)
Mark Andrew Peel (born 17 October 1959), historian and academic, was the Director of Educational Innovation at the University of Leicester until retiring in 2019. He also served the university as Provost (from 2015 to 2017), Pro Vice Chancellor (Student Experience) and Head of the College of Arts, Humanities and Law. Christina Twomey
Christina Louise Twomey, is an Australian historian and academic. Education and career Twomey was born in Queensland and attended Mac.Robertson Girls' High School in Melbourne. She graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours. She returned to the university in 1992 to complete her Doctor of Philosophy, graduating in 1996. She is the head of Philosophical, Historical and International Studies at Monash University in Melbourne. Her area of study focuses on the cultural history of war. In 2004 Twomey won the Margaret George Award, a grant presented by National Archives of Australia to emerging historians, for her "exploration of the experiences of Australian civilians interned by the Japanese in World War II". Melbourne University Publishing (MUP) is the book publishing arm of the University of Melbourne. History MUP was founded in 1922 as Melbourne University Press to sell text books and stationery to students, and soon began publishing books itself. Over the years scholarly works published under the MUP imprint have won numerous awards and prizes.
