Mark Landers (darts Player)
Mark Landers (born 4 June 1966 from Dagenham, Essex) is a retired English professional darts player, and played in Professional Darts Corporation events. Career Landers played in the 2005 PDC World Darts Championship, defeating Alan Reynolds of Wales in Last 48 and but who lost in the last 40 to Peter Evison of England. Landers played in two stages of UK Open, defeating Tom Kirby in Last 96, Jimmy Mann of England in Last 64 and but lost in the Last 32 stage to John Part of Canada. Landers quit the PDC in 2006. Landers retired in June 2019. Dagenham
Dagenham () is a town in East London, England, within the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Dagenham is centred east of Charing Cross. It was historically a rural parish in the Becontree Hundred of Essex, stretching from Hainault Forest in the north to the River Thames in the south. Dagenham remained mostly undeveloped until 1921, when the London County Council began construction of the large Becontree housing estate. The population significantly increased as people moved to the new housing in the early 20th century, with the parish of Dagenham becoming Dagenham Urban District in 1926 and the Municipal Borough of Dagenham in 1938. UK Open
The Cazoo UK Open is a ranking major darts tournament held annually at the Butlins Minehead Resort by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) in England. Often referred to as the "FA Cup of darts", the UK Open replicates the abolition of seedings, elimination play, and fixtures determined via open draw. One-hundred-and-sixty players compete in the multi-board event over eight-stages before the PDC’s Top 32 enter the tournament in the fourth round. The tournament has a prize fund of £450,000; the victor’s prize is £100,000. History From 2003 to 2013, the UK Open took place in June each year at the Reebok Stadium, in Bolton. John Part
John Part (born June 29, 1966) is a Canadian former professional darts player and current commentator. Nicknamed Darth Maple, he is a three-times World Champion, having won the 1994 BDO World Darts Championship on his world championship debut, and the PDC World Championship in 2003 and 2008. Part is statistically North America's greatest darts player to date. He has the distinction of being the first non-UK player to win the World Championship, and the only non-European to date to win the PDC World Darts Championship. Jimmy Mann (born 19 July 1978, in Carshalton) is a retired England, English professional darts player who played in the Professional Darts Corporation events. He was not a full-time professional and makes his living as a greenkeeper. Career Mann made a good showing in the 2005 UK Open Regionals, reaching the semi-finals of the North West Regional and winning the Midlands Regional. He entered the 2005 UK Open (darts), UK Open as the number 4 seed as a result of his Midlands win, meaning he started his campaign at the Last 64 stage. However, he lost his first match to Mark Landers (darts player), Mark Landers. He qualified for the 2006 PDC World Darts Championship but lost in the first round to Terry Jenkins. Tom Kirby (darts Player)
Thomas Kirby (21 January 1947 – 1 December 2008) was an Irish professional darts player who competed in the Professional Darts Corporation members in the 1990s and 2000s. His nickname was The Kidney Breather. Career Kirby was the first Irishman man to join the Professional Darts Corporation (then known as the World Darts Council) and entered its inaugural World Championship in 1994, where he won Group 7 by set difference ahead of John Lowe to reach the quarter finals, losing to eventual winner Dennis Priestley. Kirby also reached the quarter finals of the 1994 WDC UK Matchplay, beating Cliff Lazarenko in the first round before losing to Jamie Harvey. Peter Kenneth Evison (born 27 May 1964) is an English former professional darts player who competed in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and British Darts Organisation (BDO) events. Nicknamed The Fen Tiger, his greatest achievements were the win of the 1989 Winmau World Masters and the 1996 World Matchplay.
