Mark Homan (cyclist)
Mark Brian Homan (born April 17, 1979) is a Canadian curler from Ottawa. He is the brother of four time Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion skip Rachel Homan. He is a former provincial junior men's and provincial mixed champion. Homan played lead for the John Morris rink that won the 1997 Ontario Junior Championship. The team represented Ontario at the 1997 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where they lost in the final to Alberta's Ryan Keane.http://cloudfront6.curling.ca/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Juniors_Men_1997.pdf After the season, Homan left the team to play Junior hockey. 2014 Travelers Tankard
The 2014 Travelers Tankard, southern Ontario's men's provincial curling championship, was held from January 27 to February 2 at the Smiths Falls Community Memorial Centre in Smiths Falls, Ontario. The winning Mark Bice team (skipped by Greg Balsdon) represented Ontario at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops, British Columbia. Teams *Mark Bice skipped the team through the Zone and Regional playdowns, and thus the team was named after him. Greg Balsdon returned to the lineup as Skip for the Provincial Championship after missing 2 months due to injury. The team plays as a 5-man squad regularly during the Tour season. Travelers Tankard
The Ontario Tankard is the Southern Ontario provincial championship for men's curling. The winner represents Team Ontario at the Tim Hortons Brier. The tournament is overseen by CurlON (formerly the Ontario Curling Association). Northern Ontario has its own provincial championship, known as the Northern Ontario Men's Provincial Curling Championship. Alison Kreviazuk
Alison Blair Kreviazuk (; born September 27, 1988) is a Canadian curler. Kreviazuk was born in Mississauga, Ontario, and grew up in the Nepean sector of Ottawa. She was the longtime second for the Rachel Homan rink, playing with her from 2002 to 2014. She currently serves as a national coach with the Swedish Curling Association. Career 2002 to 2014 Kreviazuk had been a member of the Homan rink from when it was formed in 2002, except some of the 2005–06 season and the 2009–10 season when she was too old to play for the team in some junior events, as she is a year older than Homan and her vice, Emma Miskew. Kreviazuk won three provincial Bantam titles as a member of the team, before she was too old to play at that level. The Homan rink would go on to win a fourth title without Kreviazuk.
