John Harrison Frick Jr., known professionally as Mark Elliott (September 24, 1939 – April 3, 2021), was an American voice-over artist who performed numerous voice-overs for The Walt Disney Company from 1983 to 2008. He was also the voice of CBS and FOX throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and various theatrical trailers for non-Disney animated movies. Early life and career Mark Elliot was born as John Harrison Frick Jr. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on September 24, 1939. After graduating from high school in 1957, Frick's first job was as a radio disc jockey under the name "John Harrison" at the small Cedar Rapids-based station KPIG. For two years, he worked six nights a week from 11pm to 7am, bringing home $67.50 per week. In 1959, as rock and roll was on the rise, he was offered a job at KCRG, where he would work as "Sandy Shore". Richard Wagstaff Clark (November 30, 1929April 18, 2012) was an American radio and television personality, television producer and film actor, as well as a cultural icon who remains best known for hosting ''American Bandstand'' from 1956 to 1989. He also hosted five incarnations of the Pyramid (game show), ''Pyramid'' game show from 1973 to 1988 and ''Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve'', which transmitted New Year's Eve celebrations in New York City's Times Square. As host of ''American Bandstand'', Clark introduced rock & roll to many Americans. KHJ (AM)
KHJ (930 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station that is licensed to Los Angeles, California. Owned and operated by Relevant Radio, Inc., the station broadcasts Roman Catholic religious programming as an affiliate of the Relevant Radio network. KHJ broadcasts at 5,000 watts, with a non-directional signal by day but using a directional antenna at night to protect other stations on 930 AM. KHJ's transmitter is triplexed to three of the six towers of KBLA (1580 AM), near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Alvarado Street in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Radio station KYPA (1230 AM) also uses two of KBLA's towers for its signal. KHJ's former towers at the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue in Mid-City were removed in February 2013. Ellen Naomi Cohen (September 19, 1941 – July 29, 1974), known professionally as Mama Cass and later on as Cass Elliot, was an American singer and voice actress. She was a member of the singing group the Mamas & the Papas. After the group broke up, Elliot released five solo albums. KFRC (defunct)
610 KFRC was a radio station in San Francisco, California in the United States, which made its first broadcast on Wednesday, September 24, 1924, from studios in the Hotel Whitcomb, at 1231 Market Street. KFRC originally broadcast with 50 watts on the 270 meter wavelength (equal to about 1110 kHz), then moved to 660 kHz in April 1927. As part of nationwide frequency reallocations on November 11, 1928, KFRC was moved to 610 kHz, where the call letters remained until 2005. In addition, KFRC had a co-owned FM sister station, known as KFRC-FM, which operated on 106.1 MHz in the 1970s, and later began simulcasting on 99.7 MHz in 1991, and its format continued on 99.7 FM for a time even after the AM station was sold.
