Mark Cohen (American Footballer)
Mark Cohen (born 1970) is a former British gridiron football wide receiver that played in the British, Danish, German and Finnish leagues, and also the World League of American Football in 1995. He is widely considered one of the best players in British history. Playing career Early years Although, the first game Cohen saw was the Birmingham Bulls against the Nottingham Hoods, he began his career as an 18 year old for the Sutton Royals, based in Sutton Coldfield after being invited by Royals running back Lee Wright. In 1990, he left to join the Redditch Arrows, and after impressing there, moved to his hometown team, the Birmingham Bulls in 1991. Solihull (, or ) is a market town and the administrative centre of the wider Metropolitan Borough of Solihull in West Midlands County, England. Manchester Spartans
The Manchester Spartans were an American football club in Manchester, England. Founded in 1983 as the Northwich Spartans, they became Manchester Spartans in 1984, and were national champions in 1989 and 1990. They won the Eurobowl in 1990. History Formation and early seasons The second oldest civilian team in Britain, Formed by Bernard McDerra they began as the Northwich Spartans in 1983 and came to Manchester a year later. American Football Association of Finland (Finnish: Suomen Amerikkalaisen Jalkapallon Liitto, abbreviated SAJL) is the national governing body of American football in Finland. The 1995 London Monarchs season was the third season for the franchise in the World League of American Football (WLAF). The team was led by head coach Bobby Hammond in his first year, and played its home games at White Hart Lane in London, England.
