Marjorie Delassus
Marjorie Delassus (born 26 March 1998) is a French slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2016. She is from Pau in Béarn. Delassus competed at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, finishing fourth in the C1 event. At the 2020 European Championships, she won a silver medal in the K1 team event alongside Camille Prigent and Lucie Baudu. At the 2021 European Championships she won the C1 team bronze medal with Lucie Prioux and Angèle Hug. She has won a total of 4 medals (3 silvers and 1 bronze) at the European Championships. Delassus was the World Under-23 Champion in 2019 in K1 team, European Under-23 Champion in 2018 in K1 team and in 2019 in C1 and C1 team. In 2019 she finished fourth in the C1 event at the U23 World Championships and in October 2020, she qualified for the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics. 2016 European Junior And U23 Canoe Slalom Championships
The 2016 European Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships took place in Solkan, Slovenia from 24 to 28 August 2016 under the auspices of the European Canoe Association (ECA). It was the 18th edition of the competition for Juniors (U18) and the 14th edition for the Under 23 category. A total of 19 medal events took place. The men's junior C2 team event did not take place. Prague-Troja Canoeing Centre
The Prague Canoeing Centre is one of the most frequently used venues for international canoe slalom competition. Built in 1983 in Czechoslovakia, it diverts water around a dam at Troja on the Vltava river in Prague. Its two unique features are its use of car and truck tires as flow diverters and its shallow slope, closer to 1% than the usual nearly 2% for such venues. Despite these characteristics, the Troja facility has hosted ten World Cup races and one World Championship in the 21 years 1992–2012, and the 2013 World Championships. Venue The channel walls are vertical, with flow diverters constructed of automobile and truck tires stacked side by side to form large cylinders attached to the bottom by beams running through the tires. 2017 Canoe Slalom World Cup
The 2017 Canoe Slalom World Cup was a series of five races in canoe slalom organized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF). It was the 30th edition. Before the first World Cup race it was determined that the men's C2 class would be removed from the Olympic program. This resulted in a reduced number of participants in this event. The C2 mixed event was raced for the first time as part of the World Cup in Prague, though only 4 crews entered (3 of them Czech) and no points were awarded. The K1 cross was renamed as Extreme Kayak, but still no world cup points were awarded for the event. The ''Kraków-Kolna Canoe Slalom Course'' is an artificial whitewater course in Poland, on the south bank of the Vistula River The Vistula (; pl, Wisła, ) is the longest river in Poland and the ninth-longest river in Europe, at in length. Angèle Hug (born 30 July 2000) is a French slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2017. She competes in the C1 and K1 events, having competed in C2 Mixed with Théo Roisin in 2017. She is from Les Ollières-sur-Eyrieux in the Ardèche department of France. Career At the 2021 European Championships in Ivrea, she won a bronze medal in the C1 team event, placing 16th individually. Hug finished 4th in the mixed C2 event at the 2017 World Championships in Pau. She finished 2nd in domestic selections for the C1 event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, becoming Olympic substitute and securing a sport on the World Cup team. Camille Prigent (born 18 December 1997) is a French slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2013. She won two medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with a gold in the K1 team event in 2018 and a silver in kayak cross in 2023. She also won six medals at the European Championships (3 golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze), including a gold in the K1 team event at the 2023 European Games in Kraków. Canoeing At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's Slalom C-1
The women's C-1 slalom canoeing event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 28 and 29 July 2021 at the Kasai Canoe Slalom Course. 22 canoeists from 22 nations competed. The event was won by Jessica Fox from Australia, who already had three medals (one silver and two bronzes) in K-1 slalom from the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympics. Briton Mallory Franklin won silver, and German Andrea Herzog bronze. For both of them it was the first Olympic medal. Background This was the debut appearance of the event, replacing the men's C-2.
