Marje Metsur
Marje Metsur ( Marje Mihhailova; born on 27 June 1941) is an Estonian actress. In 1965 she graduated from Tallinn State Conservatory Stage Art Department. 1965-2009 she worked at Tallinn City Theatre. Since 2009 she is a freelance actress. Her most notable theatrical role (Mati Unt's play "Rästiku pihtimus") was in 1979 in Noorsooteater. Besides theatrical roles she has also played on several films. In 2006 he was awarded with Order of the White Star, IV class. She has been married to Estonian athlete and educator Kaupo Metsur since 1967. Estonian Academy Of Music And Theatre
The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (''Eesti Muusika- ja Teatriakadeemia'') began as a mixed choir of the Estonia Society Musical Department (EMD) on the eve of World War I. The assembly of the Estonia Society created the Tallinn Higher Music School on November 17, 1918. The opening ceremony took place on September 28, 1919. In 1923 the educational institution was renamed the Tallinn Conservatoire. In 1938 the State Drama School was opened. In 1993 the school was renamed the “Estonian Academy of Music”. In 1995 the Drama Faculty was renamed the Higher Theatre School. Tallinn City Theatre
Tallinn City Theatre ( et, Tallinna Linnateater) is a repertory theatre located in the medieval old town of Tallinn, Estonia. Tallinn City Theatre was established in 1965 as Estonian SSR State Youth Theatre. In 1992, after the reindependence of Estonia, Elmo Nüganen became the artistic director, holding this position until today. In 1994, it became a municipal theatre named Tallinn City Theatre. Mati Unt (1 January 1944 Linnamäe, Voore Parish (now Voore, Mustvee Parish), Jõgeva County, Estonia – 22 August 2005, Tallinn) was an Estonian writer, essayist and theatre director. Biography His first novel, written at the age of 18 after having finished high school, was '' Hüvasti, kollane kass'' (Goodbye, Yellow Cat). He completed his education in literature, journalism and philology at the University of Tartu. After that, he served as Director of the Vanemuine Theater from 1966 to 1972, held the same position at the Youth Theater until 1991, and then at the Estonian Drama Theatre until 2003, when he became a freelance writer. Unt was married to television journalist and screenwriter Ela Tomson from 1965, until their divorce in 1973. He joined the Estonian Writers' Union in 1966.
