Marit Berger Røsland
Marit Berger Røsland (born 21 September 1978) is a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. She served as Norway's Minister of European Affairs from 2017 to 2018, as a member of Solberg's Cabinet. Personal life Røsland was born in Lørenskog, and graduated as jurist from the University of Oslo. She is married to lawyer and politician Stian Berger Røsland. Political career Røsland was elected member of the county council of Akershus for the period 1997–2000, and was a member of the municipal council of Oslo 2003–2007. She was elected as suppleant to the Storting from Akershus 2001–2005, representing the Conservative Party. She was political advicor in the Ministry of Foreign Affaires from 2003 to 2005. Solberg's Cabinet
The Solberg Cabinet was the government of the Kingdom of Norway, headed by Conservative Party leader Erna Solberg as Prime Minister from 16 October 2013 to 14 October 2021. The government was appointed by King Harald V on 16 October 2013 following the parliamentary election on 9 September, consisting of the Conservative Party and the Progress Party as a minority government. On 16 December 2015, the cabinet was re-shuffled. The government secured renewed support following the 2017 parliamentary election. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. In Norway, a state secretary ( no, statssekretær) is a partisan political position within the executive branch of government. Contrary to the position secretary of state in many other countries, a Norwegian state secretary does not head his or her ministry, rather, they are second in rank to a minister. Resembling a ''de facto'' vice minister, the state secretary, however, cannot attend a Council of State, and does not act as a temporary minister in case of illness or other leave of absence. Erna Solberg
Erna Solberg (; born 24 February 1961) is a Norwegian politician and the current Leader of the Opposition. She served as the 35th prime minister of Norway from 2013 to 2021, and has been Leader of the Conservative Party since May 2004. Solberg was first elected to the Storting in 1989, and served as Minister of Local Government and Regional Development in Bondevik's Second Cabinet from 2001 to 2005. During her tenure, she oversaw the tightening of immigration policy and the preparation of a proposed reform of the administrative divisions of Norway.
