Mario Lang
Mario Lang (born 22 December 1988 in Bruck a. d. Mur, Styria) is an Austrian rock-singer. He reached the fourth place in the third season of the Austrian casting show '' Starmania''. Biography Mario grew up in St. Lorenzen in Styria and visited school in Kapfenberg until he became a ''Starmaniac''. Before he had had vocal education for two years (pop-musical). In summer 2006 he went to the pre-castings of Starmania, where he overcame every round and reached the final of the best 12. In the Austrian media there were many rumors, that it was planned by the Austrian television, that he should win, but in the episode from 19 January 2007 he failed and didn't reach the big final of the casting show. Bruck An Der Mur
Bruck an der Mur is a city of some 13,500 people located in the district Bruck-Mürzzuschlag, in the Austrian state of Styria. It is located at the confluence of the Mur and Mürz Rivers. Its manufacturing includes metal products and paper. Bruck is located on the Graz to Vienna main line, and is an important regional rail junction. History The earliest surviving record of Bruck dates from the time of King Ludovicus II "Germanicus", when it was identified, in a record dated 20 November 860, as "ad pruccam", a manor of the archbishopric of Salzburg. The settlement then identified with this name was in the location currently occupied by the suburb now called "St. Ruprecht". The settlement then located at what is now the centre of Bruck is identified in the ninth century record as "muorica kimundi" (i.e. the mouth of the Mürz River). Starmania (TV Series)
''Starmania'' is an Austrian casting show/talent show for would-be pop stars. It is broadcast on the Austrian TV channel ORF 1. Despite striking similarities, ''Starmania'' is not a licensed version of the '' Idols'' format distributed by FremantleMedia. Attempts to export the format to Germany failed due to legal intervention from Fremantle. In 2004, ORF managed to sell the rights to the Swiss channel SF, where the show is called ''MusicStar''. From 2003 to 2009, four seasons of ''Starmania'' have been aired in Austria. To date, the winners have been Michael Tschuggnall, Verena Pötzl, Nadine Beiler and Oliver Wimmer. Kapfenberg
Kapfenberg , with around 22,609 inhabitants, is the third largest city in Styria, Austria, near Bruck an der Mur. The town's landmark is Burg Oberkapfenberg. Its main employer is the steel manufacturer Böhler. The town has a swimming complex, a football stadium (Franz Fekete Stadium) used by the club Kapfenberger SV, and an ice rink. Christina Stürmer (born 9 June 1982) is an Austrian singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Linz, she rose to fame as the runner-up of the inaugural season of the ORF eins television talent series ''Starmania (TV series), Starmania''. Luttenberger*Klug is a pop duo from Styria, Austria and consist of Michelle Luttenberger (born 12 July 1990, Feldbach) and Chrissi Klug (born 5 February 1989, Deutschlandsberg). Their music style fits in well into the Austropop-movement, lying somewhere between pop and rock. The band is produced by Alexander Kahr who also produced another famous Austrian singer, Christina Stürmer.
