Mario Diana
Mario Diana (born 9 May 1947) is an Italian politician. Biography Diana belongs to a noble family, well known in Marmilla. He subsequently transplanted to Oristano, where he has lived for years in the San Paolo-Torangius neighborhood. He is married and has three children. Before joining political activity full time, he worked as an entrepreneur in the auto parts sector and later in the real estate sector. Between the 80s and 90s he was also president of the FIGC of Oristano and regional councilor of the same Federation; president of the Ales football club and more recently of the main football team of Oristano, Tharros. He was municipal councilor of Oristano for Christian Democracy between 1990 and 1993 and again between 1998 and 2000. In 2000 he was elected president of the province of oristano with 56.50% of the preferences, while in 2001 he also became regional councilor, taking over from Emilio Floris. The province of Oristano ( it, provincia di Oristano, sc, provìntzia de Aristanis) is a province in the autonomous island region of Sardinia in Italy. Its capital is the city of Oristano. Marmilla
Marmilla is a natural region of southern-central Sardinia, Italy. Etymology The name "Marmilla" comes from the vast rounded hills, probably resembling udders (see Marmilla castle in Las Plassas). Another hypothesis is that according to which given the presence of many marshes in the area, the landscape could appear dotted with "a thousand seas". Emilio Floris
Emilio Floris (born September 15, 1944) is an Italian politician. A trained physician, he started his political career in the mid-1990s as a member of Forza Italia. In 2001, he was elected mayor of the Sardinian capital Cagliari. Medical career Emilio Floris specialized in radiology, cardiology and occupational medicine. After graduating, he worked temporarily for public hospitals in Cagliari and Guspini. Later he became administrative leader of two privately owned hospitals in Cagliari and Oristano, in which he also performed medical work. During this time he was also engaged in public functions, becoming leader of the Italian Association of Private Hospitals 'AIOP' as well as president of the cultural society "La Radice" and of a local soccer club. Oristano (; sc, Aristanis ) is an Italian city and ''comune'', and capital of the Province of Oristano in the central-western part of the island of Sardinia. It is located on the northern part of the Campidano plain.
