Marine Monnet-Melocco (born 1978) is a French professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour. She won The Womens Amateur in 1999 and finished third on the LET Order of Merit in 2000. Amateur career Monnet won the 1996 Girls Amateur Championship, the 1999 European Ladies' Team Championship for France, and the 1999 Vagliano Trophy representing the Continent of Europe. The same year she crowned her amateur career by winning The Womens Amateur Championship against England's Rebecca Hudson. Professional career Ladies European Tour Monnet turned professional in the end of 1999 and joined the Ladies European Tour in 2000. She almost secured a win in her first season. At the Ladies Irish Open she had a four stroke lead after the penultimate round, but after a final round of 74 she had to settle for runner-up, one stroke behind Sophie Gustafson. Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche () is a wealthy commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. History Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche was built around 4 core hamlets near the Forest of Marly. The village takes its name from a 9th-century co-bishop, saint Nonne, who re-evangelized the country after the Norman invasions, and from La Bretesche, a wooden stronghold (from ''breit eiche'': big oak tree) consisting of a hamlet at the edge of the forest of Cruye, now the forest of Marly. An event on the LPGA Tour, it is one of the tour's five major championships, and has traditionally been the first of the season since its elevation to major status in 1983. In golf, a hole in one or hole-in-one (also known as an ace, mostly in American English) occurs when a ball hit from a tee to start a hole finishes in the cup. A ball hit from a tee following a lost ball, out-of-bounds, or water hazard is not a hole-in-one due to the application of a stroke penalty. The Women's Australian Open is a women's professional golf tournament played in Australia, operated by Golf Australia and the WPGA Tour of Australasia, long co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). The Evian Championship, currently known for sponsorship reasons as The Amundi Evian Championship, is a women's professional golf tournament in France, played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains. It was originally held in June, moved to July in 2003, and moved again to September in 2013. It returned to a July date in 2019.
