Mariana Drăguțan
Mariana Drăguțan (born 29 October 1999) is a Moldovan freestyle wrestler. She is a bronze medallist at the World Wrestling Championships and a two-time medallist at the European Wrestling Championships. Career Drăguțan won the gold medal in the freestyle 53 kg at the 2022 European U23 Wrestling Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She won a bronze medal in the third-place match in the women's freestyle 55 kg category at the 2022 European Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary by beating her German Anastasia Blayvas 2–1 in the third-place match. Drăguțan won the silver medal in the women's 55kg event at the 2024 European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania. She competed at the 2024 European Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament in Baku, Azerbaijan hoping to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Strășeni
Strășeni (, russian: Страшены, Стрэшень, translit=Strasheny, Streshen, latter Russian name used in Moldovan Russian-language media) is a city and municipality of about 20,000 inhabitants in central Moldova, the administrative center of Strășeni District. The city administers one village, Făgureni. There are several legends about its name. One tells that the name of the region is derived from ''strașnic'', a Romanian adjective that can mean "scary", "terrible", and the story goes that in former times this region was covered by a fearsome forest. Nowadays, Strășeni is famous for its wine. The ''Strășeni vineyard'', west of Chișinău, is renowned for its sparkling white wines. European Cadets Wrestling Championships
The European Wrestling Championships is the second oldest international wrestling competition of the modern world and the main wrestling championships in Europe. It predates World Wrestling Championships and other regional wrestling championships and is second only to the wrestling events at the Olympics. From its inception in 1898 till 1927 only Greco-Roman wrestling was contested. Since 1929 separate freestyle wrestling events were held as well. Since 1970 the two Olympic wrestling styles were contested together during the same unified events. Since 1973 Sambo wrestling was included into the championships programme along with GR and freestyle wrestling (subsequently discontinued and from 1983 contested separately).
