Mariana Aylwin
Laura Mariana Aylwin Oyarzún (born 13 July 1949) is a Chilean people, Chilean teacher, historian and politician. She was born into the Aylwin family; her father, Patricio Aylwin, was the President of Chile, 30th president of Chile from 1990 to 1994, years where he led the beginnings of the Chilean transition to democracy, Transition to democracy from Pinochet dictatorship, Augusto Pinochet dictatorship. María Paz Bascuñán Aylwin (, 2 June 1975), commonly known as Paz Bascuñán, is a Chilean theatre, film and television actress. Daughter of politician Mariana Aylwin and granddaughter of Chile's former president Patricio Aylwin, and has more than two descents, her Basque descent being recognized in 2002. Biography She studied theatre in Universidad Católica de Chile and made her debut in Cerro Alegre from canal 13 (1999). The Chilean transition to democracy is the name given to the process of restoration of democracy carried out in Chile after the end of the military dictatorship of Pinochet, in 1990, and particularly to the first two democratic terms that succeeded it.
