Maria Paulina Soriano
Maria Paulina "Pau" Soriano is a Filipino volleyball athlete player of the Creamline Cool Smashers that plays in the Premier Volleyball League (formerly known as the Shakey's V-League). Personal life Soriano went to Tandang Sora Elementary School in Banlat, Quezon City and the Ernesto Rondon High School. She is a graduate of Hospitality Management from Adamson University. Career During her collegiate years she played with Adamson Lady Falcons from 2008 to 2012 and was team captain from 2011 to 2012 and playing as its quick hitter or middle blocker. Soriano played with Cagayan Valley Lady Rising Suns from 2013 to 2015. She played the 2013 Shakey's V-League All-Star game. While having one-year contract with the Philippine Super Liga, she was given a one-year ban and a P$50,000 (approximately US$1,026 in October 2016) fine for playing with the Shakey's V-League club Bureau of Customs Transformers instead of the Standard Insurance-Navy Corvettes from the Philippine Super Liga. ... Shakey's V-League
The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The league began in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League, a women's collegiate league. Since 2011, the league became open to participation of corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams. The Spikers' Turf has served as the men's counterpart of the league. History Shakey's V-League (2004–2016) The Premier Volleyball League was established in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. led by Jun Bernardino, Ricky Palou, Moying Martelino, and Rhea Navarro who were businessmen previously known for being men's basketball patrons. 2022 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference
The 2022 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference was the twelfth conference of the Premier Volleyball League (''39th conference of the former Shakey's V-League'') and its third conference as a professional league. The tournament began on July 9, 2022. Originally slated for the July 2, the tournament was pushed back due to the requests of the club teams. This is the first (''second for the former SVL'') conference of the league to commence an invitational conference. A total of eight teams will compete in this event, including one international team — KingWhale Taipei from Taiwan. The BaliPure Purest Water Defenders and F2 Logistics begged off from joining the conference. 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference
The 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference was the eleventh conference of the Premier Volleyball League (''38th conference of the former Shakey's V-League'') and its second conference as a professional league. The conference was held from March 16 to April 8, 2022, pending restrictions brought by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. A pool play format will be adapted for the first time wherein teams will be divided into two pools as opposed to a round-robin format where all teams play against each other at least once. Preliminary round was held at the Paco Arena in Manila. Quarterfinal round and Semifinals Game 1 & 3 was held at the San Juan Arena in San Juan. The Semifinals Game 2 and Finals Game 1 was held at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay while Finals Game 2 was held at Ynares Center in Antipolo, Rizal. 2021 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference
The 2021 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference was the tenth conference of the Premier Volleyball League (''37th conference of the former Shakey's V-League conference results, Shakey's V-League'') and its first conference as a professional league. The conference started on July 17, 2021 and ended on August 13, 2021, at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte in a bubble. The PVL has been approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to begin team practices to be followed by the official start of the 2021 season. In January 2021, it was reported that Motolite Volleyball Team, Motolite filed a leave of absence from the league and released all of its players. 2018 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference
The 2018 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference was the fourth conference of the Premier Volleyball League (31st conference of the former Shakey's V-League). Conference will start on April 27, 2018 with a Grand Fans Day at the Trinoma Activity Center, Quezon City, 9 days before its opening ceremonies and games on May 6, 2018 at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan City, Philippines. PLDT returns as PayMaya after two years of absence in the league and newcomer teams, Tacloban Fighting Warays and Petro Gazz Angels are expected to join the league. Premier Volleyball League 1st Season Reinforced Open Conference
The Premier Volleyball League 1st Season Reinforced Open Conference was the first conference of the Premier Volleyball League (28th conference of the former Shakey's V-League). Conference started on April 30, 2017 and concluded on June 13, 2017. All elimination round games were played at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan while the semifinals and Finals games were held at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig. The women's tournament was supposed to feature the use of foreign reinforcements, however, they were initially unable to play due to difficulty in securing their international transfer certificates (ITC) from the FIVB.
