Maria Kovacic
Maria Kovacic () is an Australian politician. She is a Senator for New South Wales representing the Liberal Party, succeeding Jim Molan after his death. She previously served as the President of the New South Wales Liberal Party. Political career 2022 federal election Kovacic was as the Liberal Party's candidate for the marginal Labor seat of Parramatta at the 2022 federal election, held by retiring MP Julie Owens. Although the seat was considered a highly possible gain for the party (due to Owens' retirement and the fact that the state seat of Parramatta was Liberal-held at the time), she was unsuccessful and Labor's candidate Andrew Charlton won the seat with an increased majority. Centre Right (Liberal Party Of Australia)
The Centre Right Faction or Centre Right Group is a faction within the federal Australian Liberal Party that makeup one of its three major factions. It holds the middle position between the three factions: Moderate being to its left, the National Right being to its right. Beginning in 2009, the faction held its most dominant position in 2021–2022, and, as of 2023 only has a total of six federal MPs. The faction's main ideology can be seen as a soft mix of both the adjacent factions' ideologies. Stuart Laurence Ayres (born 24 November 1980) is an Australian politician. He has been a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly since 19 June 2010, representing the electorate of Penrith as a member of the Liberal Party. Marise Payne
Marise Ann Payne (born 29 July 1964) is an Australian politician who served in the Morrison Government as Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2018 to 2022 and as Minister for Women from 2019 to 2022. She has been a Senator for New South Wales since 1997, representing the Liberal Party. Payne was born in Sydney and attended the University of New South Wales. She was the first woman to serve as federal president of the Young Liberals (1989–1991). Payne was appointed to the Senate in 1997, in place of Bob Woods. Gladys Berejiklian (born 22 September 1970) is an Australian former politician who served as the 45th premier of New South Wales and the leader of the New South Wales division of the Liberal Party from 2017 to 2021. Berejiklian became a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly after winning the electoral district of Willoughby in the 2003 state election. She was given the roles of Treasurer and Minister for Industrial Relations in the second Baird government, and Minister for Transport in the O'Farrell and first Baird governments. The premier of New South Wales is the head of government in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Sussan Ley
Sussan Penelope Ley (pron. , "Susan Lee"; ; born 14 December 1961) is an Australian politician who has been deputy leader of the Liberal Party since May 2022. She has been member of parliament (MP) for the New South Wales seat of Farrer since 2001 and was a cabinet minister in the Abbott, Turnbull and Morrison governments. Ley was born in Nigeria to English parents. She grew up in the UAE and England before moving to Australia as a teenager. Division Of Gilmore
The Division of Gilmore is an Australian electoral division in the state of New South Wales. History The Division of Gilmore was created in 1984 when the House of Representatives was expanded, and was named after Dame Mary Gilmore, the poet and author. The seat was first won by John Sharp of the National Party. The electorate originally included the areas of Goulburn and Southern Highlands but, following a redistribution, the seat moved to its current boundaries along the New South Wales South Coast. As a consequence, Sharp moved to the nearby seat of Hume in 1993. He served in the First Howard Ministry until he resigned in 1997 due to the "travel rorts affair". The seat was won by the ALP's Peter Knott in 1993, but he was defeated at the 1996 election by Joanna Gash of the Liberal Party.
