Margaret MacDiarmid
Margaret MacDiarmid is a Canadian politician, former provincial Minister of Health, and also served as Minister of Labour, Citizens' Services and Open Government. She was elected as a Liberal Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in the 2009 provincial election, representing the riding of Vancouver-Fairview. She previously served as Minister of Education, Minister of Tourism, Trade and Investment and Minister Responsible for the Intergovernmental Relations Secretariat. In 2009, then Minister of Education Margaret MacDiarmid was rushed to Peace Arch Hospital for emergency treatment and transferred to Royal Columbian Hospital for intensive care for pneumococcal meningitis. Jane Sterk
Jane Sterk (born January 14, 1947) is a Canadian psychologist, businesswoman, academic, and politician. She is the former leader of the Green Party of British Columbia and a business professor at University Canada West. Royal Columbian Hospital
Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) is the oldest hospital in British Columbia and one of the busiest in the Fraser Health Authority. It is located in New Westminster overlooking the Fraser River and is the only hospital in the Lower Mainland that is immediately adjacent to a Skytrain station ( Sapperton). Peace Arch Hospital (PAH) is a 146-bed acute care facility, and Level IV trauma centre owned and operated by Fraser Health. The hospital is located at 15521 Russell Avenue, White Rock, British Columbia, Canada, and its catchment area includes South Surrey.
