Margaret Kerdeston
Margaret Kerdeston (after 1425 – after 5 December 1485), Countess of Kendal (Candale), was the paternal grandmother of Anne of Foix-Candale, queen of Hungary and Bohemia. Life She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Kerdeston (d. 1446) and Elizabeth de la Pole. Her mother was a daughter of Michael de la Pole, 2nd Earl of Suffolk and sister of William de la Pole, 1st Duke of Suffolk. She married John de Foix, 1st Earl of Kendal, and gave birth to four children, including Gaston de Foix, Count of Candale. She is buried at the church of Castelnau-de-Médoc with her husband. House Of Foix
Foix (; oc, Fois ; ca, Foix ) is a commune, the former capital of the County of Foix. It is the capital of the department of Ariège as it is the seat of the Préfecture of that department. Foix is located in the Occitanie region of southwestern France. It is the second least populous French departmental capital, the least populous being Privas. Ludovico II del Vasto (23 March 1438 in Saluzzo – 27 January 1504) was marquess of Saluzzo from 1475 until his death. Before his accession as marquis he held the title of Count of Carmagnola. Biography Ludovico was the son of Ludovico I of Saluzzo and Isabella of Montferrat. He continued his father's war against Charles I of Savoy, which had depleted Saluzzo's fortunes, but again without notable results. Following his father's death in April 1475, Ludovico became marquess of Saluzzo. In an effort to foster trade, he patronized the construction of an alpine tunnel under Monviso which was completed in 1480.
