Mardi Anak Bujang
Muhammad Mardi Mirza bin Abdullah, formerly known as Mardi Anak Bujang (born 19 October 1984) is a Bruneian footballer currently playing for Kasuka FC and the Brunei national team as a midfielder. Mardi spent most of his footballing career at QAF FC, with a brief spell on loan at DPMM FC in 2008. He moved to Jerudong FC after QAF FC waived entry to the 2015 Brunei Super League. At the start of the 2016 season, he moved to newly promoted Kasuka FC. International career Mardi first played for Brunei on 2 April 2006 against Sri Lanka in a 0–1 defeat. He scored his first goal for the national team in a 2–3 win against Timor-Leste on 12 November later that year. His club side QAF FC were representing Brunei for the 2006 AFC Challenge Cup and 2007 AFF Championship qualification. Seria
Seria () is a town in Belait District, Brunei, about west from the country's capital Bandar Seri Begawan. The total population was 3,625 in 2016. It was where oil was first struck in Brunei in 1929 and has since become a centre for the country's oil and gas industry. Name The name Seria is an acronym for the South East Reserved Industrial Area. In the past, Seria used to be known as , the local name which translates as 'Wild Pigeon's Field', and referred to the area between the Bera and Seria rivers. However, the name has become forgotten today. Geography Seria is located within a mangrove swamp and surrounded by an oil field. The town has a narrow coast with the South China Sea. 2006 AFC Challenge Cup
The 2006 AFC Challenge Cup was held between 1 and 16 April 2006 in Bangladesh. Sixteen teams were split into four groups, the top two in each group qualifying for the quarterfinals, and from then on a straight knockout contest. There was no qualification stage. The cup winner was Tajikistan. The fair play award was won by Sri Lanka and Tajikistani Ibrahim Rabimov won the most valuable player award. Selection of teams The AFC classed seventeen nations as ''emerging associations'', which need time to develop their football. They were selected in August 2005 to take part. DPMM FC Players
Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Football Club (His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Brunei Football Club in English, commonly known as DPMM FC) is a professional football club based in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. The club played in the Brunei Premier League in the early 2000s, winning the league title in 2002 and 2004. The club then decided to play in Malaysia, and joined the Malaysian Premier League as a foreign-based team in for the 2005–06 season. Iban People
The Ibans or Sea Dayaks are a branch of the Dayak peoples on the island of Borneo in South East Asia. Dayak is a title given by the westerners to the local people of Borneo island. It is believed that the term "Iban" was originally an exonym used by the Kayans, who – when they initially came into contact with them – referred to the Sea Dayaks in the upper Rajang river region as the "Hivan". Ibans were renowned for practicing headhunting and territorial migration, and had a fearsome reputation as a strong and successfully warring tribe. Since the arrival for Europeans and the subsequent colonisation of the area, headhunting gradually faded out of practice, although many other tribal customs and practices as well as the Iban language continue to thrive. Hardi Bujang
Hardi Bujang (born 19 October 1984) is a Bruneian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Kota Ranger FC of the Brunei Super League. He played for the Brunei national football team between 2006 and 2008, winning 11 caps and scoring three goals for the Wasps. Club career Hardi previously played for QAF FC from 2003 until 2015, when he joined Jerudong FC after QAF waived entry to the 2015 Brunei Super League. Between 2006 and 2009, he was a member of Brunei's sole professional team DPMM FC which played in Malaysia and then Singapore, but still turned out for QAF FC domestically. He scored 18 goals for the Jerudong club to finish the 2015 season as the league's top scorer. Panaad Stadium
The Panaad Stadium (), also sometimes spelled as Pana-ad, named after the park where the stadium is situated in, is a multi-purpose stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod, Philippines. Panaad hosted various international sporting events particularly football when Bacolod co-hosted the 2005 Southeast Asian Games and the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup qualification against Mongolia.
