Marcy Page
Marcy Page is an animation filmmaker and educator. Page was born and raised in California. She animated her own projects and for several companies, and she taught courses at both San Francisco State University and the California College of Arts before she emigrated to Canada. Her own film ''Paradisia'' won awards at many international festivals.N. A bracket is either of two tall fore- or back-facing punctuation marks commonly used to isolate a segment of text or data from its surroundings. ''How Wings Are Attached to the Backs of Angels'' is a 1996 animated short by Canadian animator Craig Welch, produced by the National Film Board of Canada (NFB). While Welch's first film with the NFB, 1992's ''No Problem'', was influenced by the comic style of NFB animators Cordell Barker and Richard Condie, ''How Wings Are Attached to the Backs of Angels'' marked a distinct change in artistic direction, exploring such darker themes as death and desire, in a style that has been called "surrealistic." A film without words, the 8 minute and 49 second National Film Board of Canada short is a retelling of the 1912 sinking of the ''Titanic'' through the eyes and active imagination of a young boy. Story Over a period of three days, the film shows how the boy's fantasies of peril and adventure are frustrated by adults, who interrupt his fantasies, forcing the boy to start a new imaginary story line each time. ''Subconscious Password'' is a 2013 3-D animated film by Chris Landreth offering an imaginary, comedic look at the inner workings of Landreth's mind, as he tries to remember someone's name at a party. Production ''Seth’s Dominion'' took Chamberland eight years to create, from conception to release. Chamberland first discovered the work of Seth—whose real name is Gregory Gallant—while he was living in London. Chamberland, who had aspired to being a comic book artist himself, was immediately drawn to the Ontario-born cartoonist's work: Chamberland first approached Seth at a comic book conference in Montreal.
