Marcus Armstrong
Marcus John Armstrong (born 29 July 2000) is a New Zealand motor racing driver who competes in the IndyCar series, driving the No. 66 Honda for Meyer Shank Racing. He competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship between 2020 and 2022, and was the 2019 Formula 3 runner-up. He was a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy between 2017 and 2021. Armstrong started single-seaters in 2014, and in the following year won his only single-seater title to date in the 2017 Italian F4 Championship whilst becoming runner-up in the 2017 ADAC Formula 4 Championship. He stepped to the FIA Formula 3 European Championship in 2018, ending 5th. The championship merged into the FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2019, and Armstrong became runner-up to teammate Robert Shwartzman. The FIA Formula 2 Championship (F2) is a second-tier single-seater championship organized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). Held on road racing, racing circuits, the championship was introduced in 2017, following the rebranding of the long-term Formula One feeder series GP2 Series, GP2. The series' original founders were Flavio Briatore and current managing director Bruno Michel. The 2016 BRDC British F3 Championship is a Motorsport#Motor racing, motor racing championship for Open-wheel car, open wheel, Formula racing, formula racing cars held across England and, for the first time, Belgium. The 2016 season will be the first one under the BRDC British F3 denomination. 2017 Italian F4 Championship
The 2017 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth was the fourth season of the Italian F4 Championship. It began on 2 April at Misano and finished on 22 October at Autodromo Nazionale di Monza after seven triple header rounds. The championship title was clinched by and Prema Powerteam driver and Ferrari Driver Academy protegé Marcus Armstrong. Job van Uitert, Lorenzo Colombo, Sebastián Fernández and Artem Petrov were the other drivers who won more than one race, all of them completed the top-five in the driver standings. The 2017 ADAC Formula 4 Championship was the third season of the ADAC Formula 4. It began on 29 April at Oschersleben and finished on 24 September at Hockenheim after seven triple header rounds. Teams and drivers In December 2016, ten teams and twenty eight cars were confirmed for the 2017 season: Race calendar and results All rounds, except the second Oschersleben round were part of ADAC GT Masters weekends. Championship standings Points were awarded to the top 10 classified finishers in each race. No points were awarded for pole position or fastest lap.
