2016 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship
The 2016 BRDC British F3 Championship is a motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across England and, for the first time, Belgium. The 2016 season will be the first one under the BRDC British F3 denomination. The championship features professional motor racing teams, and will also feature the debut of the new 2-litre 230-bhp Tatuus-Cosworth single seat race car in the main series, a car that was first used in the 2015 BRDC Formula 4 Autumn Trophy. The season will begin at Snetterton 300 on 27 March and will end on 11 September at Donington Park, after eight triple header events for a total of twenty-four races. Teams and drivers All teams are British-registered. Both Carlin and Double R Racing will make their debut in the series, along with Fortec who already entered the 2015 BRDC F4 Autumn Trophy. 2016 British GT Season
The 2016 British GT Championship was the 24th British GT Championship. The season began on 17 April at Brands Hatch and finished on 11 September at Donington Park, after nine rounds held over seven meetings. After using Avon Tyres since 2006, the championship switched to Pirelli tyres this season, in order to mirror that of other GT3 and GT4 categories promoted by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation. Will Palmer
William Palmer (born 15 February 1997) is a British Motor racing driver, the son of Jonathan Palmer and brother of Jolyon Palmer. He is a past winner of the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award. He won the BRDC F4 Championship in 2015 having previously won the 2014 BRDC Formula 4 Winter Championship. Career Ginetta Juniors (2011-2013) A successful 2013 season saw Palmer finish third in the 2013 Ginetta Junior Championship. BRDC Formula 4 (2013-2015) Palmer competed in the BRDC Formula 4 Winter Championship in 2013, ahead of graduating to the category for 2014. Double R Racing
Double R Racing is a motor racing team, which races in Formula Three and other junior levels of formula racing including the MSA Formula Championship for the 2016 season. The team was formed in November 2004 as Räikkönen Robertson Racing by then McLaren Formula One driver and world champion with Ferrari, Kimi Räikkönen, and his race manager Steve Robertson, a former Formula Three driver. Hillspeed
Hillspeed is a motor racing team based in the United Kingdom. They currently participate in the GB3 Championship and the GB4 Championship. The team was founded in 1970 in order to run the British Saloon Car Championship entry of Morgan Ollerenshaw. In subsequent years, the team focused primarily on single-seater racing. Later, the company would also be involved in high performance road cars. In recent years, Hillspeed have been one of the most successful teams in breaking new talent in junior racing series, winning the 2010 Formula Renault BARC season with Alice Powell as well as back-to-back Ginetta Junior championships with Tom Ingram in 2010 and Seb Morris in 2011. Colton Thomas Herta (born March 30, 2000) is an American open-wheel racing driver currently competing in the NTT IndyCar Series for Andretti Autosport with Curb-Agajanian. Lando Norris (born 13 November 1999) is a Belgian-British racing driver currently competing in Formula One with McLaren, racing under the British flag. He won the MSA Formula championship in 2015, and the Toyota Racing Series, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup in 2016. James Pull (born 5 October 1999) is a British-Malaysian racing driver currently competing in the 2021 GT World Challenge Europe with W Racing Team. He made his single seater debut in Formula 4 in the 2015 MSA Formula Championship, driving for JTR and Fortec Motorsport before joining Carlin Motorsport for the 2016 season.
