Marco Teutscher
Marco Teutscher (born 1 February 1992) is a professional Dutch pool player. Career Teutscher began playing in 2007, and would enter the youth European Pool Championships the same year. His best finish at these competitions was the reaching the quarter finals, doing so in 2008 at the 9-Ball event as well 2009 in the straight pool and 2010 in the 10-Ball. In 2010, Teutscher played in the men's competition for the first time, however, he wouldn't reach the later stages until 2012. He would reach the round of 16 of the straight pool competition before being defeated by Konrad Piekarski. In August 2012 he finished fifth at the Benelux Open. On the Euro Tour he first reached the knockout rounds at the 2013 Austrian Open before losing in the second round to Phil Burford. In January 2014, he finished fifth at the Longoni Capelle Open and the 9-Ball Mini Tournament of the Derby City Classic. Nine-ball (sometimes written 9-ball) is a discipline of the cue sport pool. The game's origins are traceable to the 1920s in the United States. It is played on a rectangular billiard table with at each of the four corners and in the middle of each long side. Using a cue stick, players must strike the white cue ball to nine colored billiard balls, hitting them in ascending numerical order. An individual game (or ) is won by the player pocketing the . (born 9 May 1984) is a Polish professional pool player. After reaching the last 16 of the 2012 World Pool-Billiard Association World Nine-ball Championship, Skowerski won the 2012 World Pool Masters, defeating fellow Pole Mateusz Śniegocki in the final 8–6, which was held in Kielce, Poland. The World Cup of Pool is an annual international single-elimination tournament for doubles teams in nine-ball pool competition. The event has been dominated by the Philippines and China, with both nations winning the event on three occasions. History The tournament is held annually, at various locations, and was first held in 2006 in Newport, Wales. The tournament is hosted by Matchroom Pool. Format There are usually 32 participating teams, representing 31 nations (the host nation is represented by two teams, A and B) composed of two players each.
