Marco Pfiffner
Marco Pfiffner (born 25 March 1994) is a Swiss born, professional alpine ski racer who represents Liechtenstein. He has competed for Liechtenstein at three Winter Olympic Games in 2014, 2018, and 2022. Early life Pfiffner was born in Walenstadt in the Swiss canton of St Gallen. He lives in Mauren and represents the Unterland Winter Sports Club (UWV). Career Pfiffner began competing in FIS races aged 15. In 2011, he participated in the Junior World Championships in Crans Montana, securing 43rd and 54th place finishes in the slalom and grand slalom. Weeks later, he took part in the World Championships at Garmisch Partenkirchen. He finished 72nd in the giant slalom and 53rd in the slalom events. Alpine Skiing Combined
Combined is an event in alpine ski racing. A traditional combined competition consists of one run of downhill and two runs of slalom, each discipline runs on separate days. The winner is the skier with the fastest aggregate time. (Until the 1990s, a complicated point system was used to determine placings in the combined event.) A modified version, the super combined, is a speed race (downhill or super-G) and only one run of slalom, with both portions scheduled on the same day. Wengen
Wengen () is a mountain village in the Bernese Oberland of central Switzerland. Located in the canton of Bern at an elevation of above sea level, it is part of the Jungfrauregion and has approximately 1,300 year-round residents, which swells to 5,000 during summer and to 10,000 in the winter. Saalbach-Hinterglemm
Saalbach-Hinterglemm is a municipality in the district of Zell am See (Pinzgau region), in the Austrian state of Salzburg. It is well known for its skiing and other winter sports. A four piste network consisting of Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Fieberbrunn and Leogang is located in the municipality, adding up to 270 kilometers of ski slopes.
