Marco Janssen
Marcus Alexander "Marco" Janssen (born 1969 in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht) is a Dutch American econometrician and Professor at the Arizona State University and Director of its Center for Behavior, Institutions, and the Environment. He is known for his work on the modelling of socio-ecological systems. Life and work Janssen obtained his MA in Econometrics and Operations Research at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1992. He received his PhD in Mathematics at the Maastricht University in 1996 under supervision of J. Rotmans and O.J. Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht () is a town and municipality in the western Netherlands. It is located on the island of IJsselmonde, and borders with Zwijndrecht, Ridderkerk, and the Noord River (with Alblasserdam and Papendrecht on the other side). The jurisdiction of the municipality covers an area of of which is water. The municipality comprises no other population centres.
