Marco Borciani
Marco Borciani (born 7 December 1975 in Desenzano del Garda) is a retired Italian motorcycle racer, now motorcycle racing team owner and manager. Career Borciani started racing in the Italian Sport Production Championship, gaining eighth place in 1994, and fourth in 1995. He then moved to the Italian Honda GP 125 championship in 1996, while still continuing with rounds of the Sport Production series. In 1997 he debuted in the European 125cc Championship, and took part in the final round of the 125 cc World Championship. Throughout the 1998 season he competed for the European 125 cc title against Marco Melandri, but after an accident and resultant damage to his hand, his season ended early with three rounds to complete. In 1999 he raced in the World Supersport Championship, competing on a Honda CBR600F4, gaining a single point at the Nürburgring. Team Pedercini is an Italian motorcycle racing team competing in the Superbike World Championship using Kawasaki ZX-10R and in Supersport 300 World Championship with Kawasaki Ninja 400 motorcycles. Rubén Xaus
Rubén Xaus (born 18 February 1978 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain) is a retired motorcycle road racer. During his career he competed in both the Superbike World Championship and the MotoGP. He is nicknamed ' Spider-Man', as his lanky frame leads him to hang over the bike in an unusual way. Early years His father, who competed in amateur mountain bicycle races, gave Xaus his first motorcycle at the age of five, a Montesa 25cc. Aged 14 he was racing dirt-bikes, but his father convinced him to turn his attentions towards road racing. The 2004 Superbike World Championship was the seventeenth FIM Superbike World Championship season. The season started on 29 February at Valencia and finished on 3 October at Magny-Cours after 11 rounds. The traditional Japanese round at Sugo was replaced with a new Canadian round which was scheduled for 4 July at the Mont-Tremblant, near Quebec. The 2003 Superbike World Championship was the sixteenth FIM Superbike World Championship season. The season started on 2 March at Valencia and finished on 19 October at Magny-Cours after 12 rounds. Rule changes for 2003 allowed 1000cc machines (either twins, triples or four-cylinder) to race. The rule changes in MotoGP which allowed 4-stroke engines starting from 2002 meant that the Japanese manufacturers had focused their resources there; as a result the Superbike World Championship was left with limited factory involvement, with Ducati, Suzuki and the new-for-2003 Carl Fogarty's Foggy Petronas as the only factory teams. The Ducati 998 is a sport bike made by Ducati from 2002 to 2004. It was the successor to the Ducati 996 and the final variation on the Ducati 916.
