Marco Antonio Rubio (born June 16, 1980) is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 2000 to 2015. He held the WBC interim middleweight title in 2014, and challenged twice for a middleweight world title in 2009 and 2012. Professional career On February 21, 2009 Rubio earned the right to fight for the middleweight title by scoring a split decision victory over Enrique Ornelas to secure the World Boxing Council's # 1 ranking and a shot at the WBC Middleweight title on October 18, 2008 in Atlantic City on the Bernard Hopkins vs. Kelly Pavlik fight card televised portion. A corner retirement or corner stoppage – abbreviated "RTD (Retired)" by BoxRec – are terms used in boxing to describe a fight that ends when, during any rest period between rounds, a boxer refuses to continue or their corner pulls them out, thereby forcing the referee to call an end to the fight. In contrast, a technical knockout (TKO) may only be declared by the referee or ringside doctor, at any stage of the fight including rest periods. In either case, an RTD still counts as a type of knockout, and is displayed as a stoppage result on a boxer's win/loss record. Mandalay Bay is a 43-story luxury resort and casino at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. David Lemieux (born December 22, 1988) is a Canadian former professional boxer who competed from 2007 to 2022. who held the IBF middleweight title in 2015. Early life Lemieux was born in Montreal, Quebec on December 22, 1988 to André Lemieux, a French Canadian, and Aznive Khavloudjian, an Armenian from Lebanon. The couple divorced after having one son, two years senior to David. David was born after the departure of his father.
