Marcello Farabegoli
Marcello Farabegoli (born March 20, 1973, in Cesena) is an Italian curator living in Vienna. Marcello Farabegoli grew up in Bolzano-Bozen. After completing a master's degree in physics at the University of Vienna he participated in several environmental and cultural organizations in Berlin. He was also a research assistant at the Physics department at the University of Potsdam. There he investigated the correlation between physics and aesthetics. Between 2005 - 2010, he ran a gallery for contemporary Japanese art in Berlin. Since 2010, Farabegoli was based in Vienna and worked in the Old Master Painting department at the Dorotheum auction house. Since 2013, Farabegoli worked mainly as a freelance curator and producer of art projects. Aldo Giannotti
Aldo Giannotti (born in 1977) is an Italian-Austrian artist. A native of Genoa, has grown up in Massa, Tuscany. He lives and work in Vienna since 2000. Biography Aldo Giannotti studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara (Italy) with Omar Galliani. He furthered his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Wimbledon (England) in video and at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, Akademie der Bildenden Kunste Munich in photography. His work includes solo and group exhibitions in the field of Installation art, video, photography. In addition, he is curator and project manager of various exhibition projects. His installation The Museum as a Gym was one of two selected projects in a national/international competition and was on show at Kunsthaus Graz from 12 June to 21 August 2016. Hiromi Marissa Ozaki (born 1 July 1985), better known by her pseudonym Sputniko!, is a Japanese artist, designer and entrepreneur. She specializes in the field of speculative and critical design. She is known for her films and multimedia installation works inspired by emerging technologies’ possible impact on society and values – with a focus on gender issues. Her high school friends in Japan gave her the nickname “Sputnik”, from the artificial Earth satellite launched by the Soviet Union, due to her interest in science and fair skin which her friends associated with Russia. She added “Ko” (子), a character commonly used at the end of Japanese girl names, to Sputnik after learning that it was the first-ever satellite creating her now iconic pseudonym. Litomyšl
Litomyšl (; german: Leitomischl) is a town in Svitavy District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 9,900 inhabitants. It is former bishopric and Latin Catholic titular see. Litomyšl is known for the château-type castle complex of the Litomyšl Castle, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. ''Die Presse'' is a German-language daily broadsheet newspaper based in Vienna, Austria. It is considered a newspaper of record for Austria. History and profile ''Die Presse'' was first printed on 3 July 1848 as a liberal (libertarian)-bourgeois newspaper within the meaning of the revolutions of 1848 by the entrepreneur August Zang. Its staff split in 1864 under the leadership of Max Friedländer, Michael Etienne and Adolf Werthner to form the ''Neue Freie Presse'', which later was aryanized by the Nazis in 1938 and effectively closed in 1939. Ars Electronica Linz GmbH is an Austrian cultural, educational and scientific institute active in the field of new media art, founded in Linz in 1979. It is based at the Ars Electronica Center (AEC), which houses the Museum of the Future, in the city of Linz. Georg Gottlob FRS is an Austrian computer scientist who works in the areas of database theory, logic, and artificial intelligence and is Professor of Informatics at the University of Oxford. Education Gottlob obtained his undergraduate and PhD degrees in computer science at Vienna University of Technology in 1981. The University of Graz (german: link=no, Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, ), located in Graz, Austria, is the largest and oldest university in Styria, as well as the second-largest and second-oldest university in Austria. History The university was founded in 1585 by Archduke Charles II of Austria. The bull of 1 January 1586, published on 15 April 1586, was approved by Pope Sixtus V. Bernhard Scheid (born 1960) is an Austrian historian, academic, and Japanologist, affiliated to the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of East Asian Studies at the University of Vienna (''Institut für Ostasienkunde der Universität Wien''). In addition, Scheid counts among the Austrian top players of the game of Go. Early life Scheid matriculated at the University of Vienna in 1980. The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (german: link=no, Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien) is a public art school in Vienna, Austria. History The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna was founded in 1692 as a private academy modelled on the Accademia di San Luca and the Parisien Académie de peinture et de sculpture by the court-painter Peter Strudel, who became the ''Praefectus Academiae Nostrae''. In 1701 he was ennobled by Emperor Joseph I as ''Freiherr'' (Baron) of the Empire. With his death in 1714, the academy temporarily closed.
