Marcel Schneider (golfer)
Marcel Schneider (born 6 February 1990) is a German professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the Challenge Tour. He has won three times on the Challenge Tour, the 2018 Swiss Challenge and the 2021 Kaskáda Golf Challenge and Open de Portugal. Amateur career Schneider had a successful year in 2012. At the start of the year, he won the Australian Amateur beating Daniel Nisbet at the 37th hole in the final. During the year he played in the Bonallack Trophy and the St Andrews Trophy and he was part of the German team that took a joint bronze medal in the Eisenhower Trophy in Turkey. He turned professional at the end of 2012. Professional career Schneider played on the Pro Golf Tour in 2013 and 2014. 2014 was a successful year with two victories and he led the Order of Merit. Bietigheim-Bissingen (locally: ''Biedge-Bissenge'') is the second-largest town in the district of Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany with 42,515 inhabitants in 2007. It is situated on the river Enz and the river Metter, close to its confluence with the Neckar, about 19 km north of Stuttgart, and 20 km south of Heilbronn. Christopher Herlihy "Hurly" Long (born 21 July 1995) is a German professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He won the 2020 Italian Challenge Open. Amateur career Long attended Texas Tech University from 2015 to 2018, having been a freshman at the University of Oregon in 2014/15. He won the 2017 Carmel Cup after a playoff, which included a second-round 61 to set a new course record at Pebble Beach. He was part of the German team in three Eisenhower Trophy tournaments: 2014, 2016 and 2018. Matt Ford (golfer)
Matthew James Ford (born 19 April 1978) is an English professional golfer. Ford has played mostly on the Challenge Tour except for two seasons, 2015 and 2016, when he played on the European Tour. Professional career Ford qualified for the European Tour after finishing fourth in the 2014 European Tour qualifying school. He had a good start to 2015, finishing second in the Africa Open in March. He finished the season at 105th in the Order of Merit to retain his card for 2016. However he finished 131st in the Order of Merit in 2016 and returned to the Challenge Tour. Dimitrios "Dimi" Papadatos (born 4 June 1991) is a Greek-Australian professional golfer currently playing on the European Tour. Professional career Papadatos turned professional in late 2012. He won his first professional event at the New Zealand Open on the PGA Tour of Australasia in March 2014. Josh Geary (born 11 December 1984) is a New Zealand professional golfer who plays on the Challenge Tour. Professional career Geary turned professional in 2007 and played primarily on the Canadian Tour until 2010. He won the Saskatchewan Open in 2008 and was runner-up in the 2010 The Economical Insurance Group Seaforth Country Classic behind Kent Eger. The 2021 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. Similarly to 2020, the season was to begin in February with three tournaments in South Africa co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour, but in mid-January the South African swing was postponed to April–May over COVID-19 pandemic concerns. The official schedule announcement was made on 27 January 2021. In April two back-to-back events in Sweden in May were added. In August, it was announced that the Hainan Open and the Foshan Open; both played in China, were cancelled. Kristian Krogh Johannessen (born 3 March 1995) is a Norwegian professional golfer who has played on the European Tour and the Challenge Tour. He played in the 2020 Summer Olympics and won the 2022 Italian Challenge Open.
