Marcel Ndalé
Marcel Ndalé (real name Gbokaho Minang Sylvain) is an Anti-balaka leader from Nana-Mambéré prefecture in the Central African Republic. Life He was born in 1960 in Niem village in Nana-Mambéré province as Gbokaho Minang Sylvain. In 2006 he created a self-defense group to fight with zaraguina bandits together with his two brothers. They also were creating gri-gris amulets. They settled with their extended family in Bouar. In June 2013 following Séléka takeover of the Central African Republic he fled to the bush where he led group of Anti-balaka fighters. On 22 January 2014 he arrived in Bouar seizing former Séléka base. He was arrested by MINUSCA in April 2015 and placed in Nagaragba prison in Bangui where he escaped in 2015. Nana-Mambéré
Nana-Mambéré is one of the 16 prefectures of the Central African Republic. It covers an area of 26,600 km and has a population of 233,666 (2003 census). The capital is Bouar. It was part of Kamerun when it was a German colony between 1884 and 1916. Anti-balaka
The Anti-balaka is an alliance of militia groups based in the Central African Republic in the early 21st century said to be composed primarily of Christians. However, some church leaders have contested the claimed exclusively Christian character of such groups. Séléka CPSK-CPJP-UFDR was an alliance of rebel militia groups that subjugated the Central African Republic (CAR) on 24 March 2013. After its official dissolution in September 2013, the remaining rebel groups became known as Ex-Séléka. Séléka leader Michel Djotodia became the nation's president from March 2013 until his resignation in January 2014. Bouar
Bouar is a market town in the western Central African Republic, lying on the main road from Bangui (437 km) to the frontier with Cameroon (210 km). The city is the capital of Nana-Mambéré prefecture, has a population of 40,353, while the whole sous-préfecture has a population of 96,595 (2003 census). Bouar lies on a plateau almost 1000m above sea level and is known as the site of Camp Leclerc, a French military base. About seventy groups of megaliths lie in the town and to its north and east. The Bouar Megaliths, dating back to the very late Neolithic Era (c. 3500–2700 BC) were added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List on April 11, 2006 in the Cultural category. Patrice-Edouard Ngaïssona
Patrice-Edouard Ngaïssona is former minister of sports in the Central African Republic, president of the Central African Football Federation and leader of Anti-balaka, arrested in 2018 for his war crimes. Life Ngaïssona was born in 1967 in Begoua. He was minister of sport under Bozize regime and president of the Central African Football Federation since 2008. In December 2013 he became leader of one of factions of Anti-balaka. In February 2018 he was elected by Executive Committee of the African Football Confederation to represent the Central African Republic. On 12 December 2018 Ngaïssona was arrested in Paris by French authorities for his involvement in war crimes pursuant to an International Criminal Court arrest warrant. Return, Reclamation, Rehabilitation (3R, french: Retour, Réclamation et Réhabilitation) is a rebel group in the northwestern part of Central African Republic. History The group was formed in December 2015 to protect Fulani herders from Anti-balaka militia attacks. On 27 September 2016, they captured the town of De Gaulle (now Koui) killing at least 17 civilians.
