The Maravilha Environmental Protection Area ( pt, Área de Proteção Ambiental Maravilha) is a municipal environmental protection area in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Location The Maravilha Environmental Protection Area (APA) is in the municipality of São José do Vale do Rio Preto, Rio de Janeiro. It has an area of . The Serra da Maravilha is one of the main conservation areas in the municipality along with the Serra do Taquaruçu (Araponga Municipal Nature Park) and Pedra das Flores Natural Monument. A dam located in the APA is the main source of water for the town. The APA contains a water treatment station. The Maravilha APA contains alpine meadows and secondary growth forest, surrounded by agricultural land and pastures. João Batista de Sales (born January 19, 1945 in Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais), better known as Fio Maravilha, is a former Brazilian football player. In Brazil he played for Flamengo, Paysandu Sport Club, CEUB, Desportiva and São Cristóvão. Later he moved to the United States, where he played for the New York Eagles, the Montebello Panthers, and the San Francisco Mercury. He is perhaps most famous for the hit single "Fio Maravilha" that was written about him in 1972 by Jorge Ben (later known as Jorge Ben Jor). The musician attended a friendly game between Flamengo and Benfica at Maracanã. Fio was left out of Flamengo's starting lineup by coach Mário Zagallo, but after a chorus of fans demanded that he play, he was brought in as a substitute. Dario José dos Santos (born 4 March 1946), nicknamed Dario or Dadá Maravilha (Wonder Dadá), is a Brazilian former footballer who played as a centre-forward. Career Born into poverty, Dadá began his career in 1965, playing in the youth squad of Campo Grande, a small and modest club with no great history in Rio. His style and talent caught the eye of a scout working for Atlético Mineiro, a large and very traditional club from the state of Minas Gerais, who signed him in 1968. In 1969 his prestige was so great that then Brazilian President Emílio Garrastazu Médici asked coach Mário Zagallo to call Dadá to join the national team going to the 1970 World Cup in Mexico. Túlio Humberto Pereira Costa (born 2 June 1969), sometimes simply referred as Túlio or Túlio Maravilha ("Wonder Túlio"), is a former Brazilian international footballer who played as a forward. He played for many Brazilian club teams, such as Goiás, Botafogo, Corinthians, Vitória, Fluminense, Cruzeiro and Vila Nova and several lower-division teams in Brazil. In Europe, he had short-lived career, playing for Sion and Újpest. His best years were while he was at Botafogo, where he was three times the Brazilian top scorer (1989, 1994 and 1995) and won the 1995 Campeonato Brasileiro.
