Ana Carolina (born 27 September 1945) is a Brazilian film director and screenwriter. She directed seven films between 1969 and 2003. In 1978, she was a member of the jury at the 28th Berlin International Film Festival. Her 1982 film ''Heart and Guts'' was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1982 Cannes Film Festival. Cinemateca Brasileira
The Cinemateca Brasileira is the institution responsible for preserving Brazilian audiovisual production. In July 2021, it experienced a major fire. Since 1940, it has been developing activities around the dissemination and restoration of its collection, with around 250 thousand rolls of films and more than one million documents related to cinema. It is located in Largo Senador Raul Cardoso, São Paulo. The building previously acted as the Old Municipal Slaughterhouse of São Paulo from 1887 to 1927. It had the largest collection of "moving images" in Latin America and is one of the largest institutions of its kind in the world. Abraccine Top 100 Brazilian Films
In 2015, the (Abraccine) published a list with the 100 best Brazilian films ever according to the votes of its members. This poll was the basis for a book named ''The 100 Best Brazilian Films'', published in 2016. The idea of the ranking and the book was suggested by publisher Letramento, with whom Abraccine and television network Canal Brasil co-released the book. The ranking was done based on individual lists done by Abraccine's 100 critics, who initially mentioned 379 films. The full list was first made available to the public on 26 November 2015, and the book was released on 1 September 2016. The list covers almost all decades between the 1930s and the 2010s, the only exception being the 1940s. Norma Aparecida Almeida Pinto Guimarães d'Áurea Bengell (21 February 1935 – 9 October 2013) was a Brazilian film, stage and television actress, singer-songwriter, screenwriter and director. She appeared in several episodes of '' T.H.E. Cat'', the first being in 1966 episode “To Kill a Priest”. Biography Bengell was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
