"Maps" is a song by American pop-rock band Maroon 5. The song was released on June 16, 2014, as the lead single from their fifth studio album '' V'' (2014). The song was written by Adam Levine, Ammar Malik, Benjamin Levin, Noel Zancanella and Ryan Tedder and produced by the latter three. "Maps" received mainly positive reviews from music critics, with praise going to the song's melody and chilled-out vibe. However, some criticized the song for being similar to their previous lead single " Payphone", on their last album '' Overexposed'' (2012). The song was a commercial success, reaching number-one in Canada and peaking at number six on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and number two on the UK Singles Chart. Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California. It currently consists of lead vocalist Adam Levine, keyboardist and rhythm guitarist Jesse Carmichael, lead guitarist James Valentine (musician), James Valentine, drummer Matt Flynn (musician), Matt Flynn, keyboardist PJ Morton and multi-instrumentalist and bassist Sam Farrar. ''Begin Again'' is a 2013 American musical comedy-drama film written and directed by John Carney and starring Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo. Knightley plays a singer-songwriter who is discovered by a struggling record label executive (Ruffalo) and collaborates with him to produce an album recorded in public locations all over New York City. The Maroon V Tour (also known as M5 On the Road Tour) was the tenth headlining concert tour by American band Maroon 5 in support of their fifth studio album '' V'' (2014) (pronounced: "five"). The tour began on February 16, 2015, in Dallas and concluded on May 12, 2018 in Zapopan, Mexico, comprising 136 concerts. Background and development The tour was announced in May 2014. The band stated that, through a contract with Live Nation, they are set to embark on a world tour in late 2014 through to early 2015 in support of the new album.
