Heinie Manush
Henry Emmett Manush (July 20, 1901 – May 12, 1971), nicknamed "Heinie", was an American baseball outfielder. He played professional baseball for 20 years from 1920 to 1939, including 17 years in Major League Baseball for the Detroit Tigers (1923–1927), St. Louis Browns (1928–1930), Washington Senators (1930–1935), Boston Red Sox (1936), Brooklyn Dodgers (1937–1938), and Pittsburgh Pirates (1938–1939). After retiring as a player, Manush was a minor league manager from 1940 to 1945, a scout for the Boston Braves in the late 1940s and a coach for the Senators from 1953 to 1954. He also scouted for the expansion Senators in the early 1960s. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1964. A native of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Manush was one of the best batters in baseball in the 1920s and 1930s. Manush Georgiev
Manush Georgiev (Bulgarian: Мануш Георгиев), better known as Manush Voivoda ( bg, Мануш Войвода) was a Bulgarian revolutionary from Ottoman Macedonia and a member of the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organization. He graduated from the Bulgarian schools in Strumitsa and Serres, and was later appointed as a teacher in the villages of Barbarevo, Robovo, Borievo and Stinik. Pursued by the Ottoman authorities as a revolutionary, in 1903 Manush Georgiev became illegal and joined the band of Hristo Chernopeev, and then he was the secretary of the voivode Dimitar Popstamatov. From 1904 he was appointed titular district voivode in the Petrich region. Contributes to the strengthening of the local revolutionary committees, protects the Bulgarian population.He grew up in VMORO and from 1907 he was elected assistant to the Strumica district voivode. ''Mati O Manush'' ( bn, মাটি ও মানুষ), originally called ''Amar Desh'', was a pioneering television programme on Bangladesh Television. The programme started in the mid-1980s and focused on the agricultural sector of Bangladesh. The show was jointly hosted by Rezaul Karim Siddique and Shykh Seraj. Rezaul Karim Siddique was involved in this program in January 1983. In 1985, the show's title was changed from ''Amar Desh'' to ''Mati O Manush''. At that time, the producer, Alimuzzaman, picked Shykh Siraj as another anchor in this program. Seraj left in 1996. Dewan Siraz was made Siddique's co-anchor of this program until he left Bangladesh for overseas job.
