Manuel Guillermo Pinto
Manuel Guillermo Pinto (1783 – June 28, 1853) was an Argentine general officer, general and Legislator, lawmaker. Pinto was born in Buenos Aires, and studied at the Illuminated Block, Royal College of San Carlos. He completed further studies in Spain, but returned to fight during the British invasions of the Río de la Plata, in 1807. He was among the signatories to the Cabildo abierto that voted in favor of Independence on May 22, 1810, and fought during the Argentine War of Independence in various auxiliary posts, reaching the rank of colonel in 1815. Pinto served as leader of the Council of Representatives during the progressive tenure of Buenos Aires Province Governor Martín Rodríguez (politician), Martín Rodríguez, from 1821 to 1824, and represented Misiones Province from 1824 to 1827. Manuel da Silva Vieira Pinto (8 December 1923 – 30 April 2020) was a Portuguese-born Prelate of the Catholic Church in Mozambique. Pinto was born in São Pedro de Aboim, Portugal and was ordained a priest on 7 August 1949. He was appointed bishop (later Archbishop) of the Archdiocese of Nampula on 21 April 1967 and consecrated on 29 June 1967, retiring on 16 November 2000. Manuel Pinto da Costa (born 5 August 1937) is a Santomean economist and politician who served as the first president of São Tomé and Príncipe from 1975 to 1991. He again served as president from 2011 to 2016. Life and career Educated in East Germany, he is fluent in Portuguese and German. Until the early 1990s the MLSTP maintained extensive relations with Angola and the MPLA, with Pinto da Costa himself having enjoyed a friendly relationship with José Eduardo dos Santos, the President of Angola, extending back to when they were both young men. Manuel Campos Pinto (born 14 December 1938) is a Portuguese former footballer who played as central defender. Club career Born in Montijo, Setúbal District, Pinto started his professional career with S.L. Benfica. He was part of two Primeira Liga squads during his spell with the club, winning the 1960–61 edition but contributing only two matches to the feat. The following 12 seasons, Pinto represented Vitória S.C. also of the top division. On 10 September 1969, he was on the starting XI for their first-ever game in European competition, against FC Baník Ostrava in the first round of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. International career Pinto played twice with the Portugal national team over a one-month period. He earned his first cap on 6 April 1969, in a 0–0 friendly draw with Mexico.
