Manuel Gómez-Moreno Martínez (21 February 1870 in Granada, Spain – 7 June 1970 in Madrid, Spain), was a Spanish archaeologist and historian. Biography Martinez was born 21 February 1870 in Granada, Spain. He is the son of noted painter and amateur archaeologist, Manuel Gómez-Moreno González and Dolores Martínez Almirón. He authored many books, nearly 300, mostly focused on Hispanic archeology and art history. Manuel Gómez Morín (27 February 1897 – 19 April 1972) was a Mexican politician. He was a founding member of the National Action Party, and one of its theoreticians. Prior to this he was considered a leading figure in Mexican monetary policy, one of the so-called Siete Sabios de México (''Seven Sages of Mexico''). Early life Gómez Morín was born in the old mining town of Batopilas in the state of Chihuahua on 27 February 1897. His father Manuel Gómez Castillo (of Spanish origin) died at age 24, shortly after his son was born. His mother, Concepción Morín de Avellano, was a native of Parral, Chihuahua. His widowed mother sold their small home and moved to Parral around 1911, from there they moved to the city of Chihuahua. Manuel Gómez Pedraza y Rodríguez (22 April 1789 – 14 May 1851) was a Mexican general and president of his country from 1832 to 1833. Early life Manuel Gomez Pedraza was born in Queretaro and was an official in charge of militias during Spanish rule. He was very strict in following discipline and orders. Manuel José Gómez Rufino (c. 1820–1882) was an Argentine politician who was governor of San Juan Province, Argentina between 1857 and 1858 and again between 1873 and 1874. The province of San Juan Manuel José Gómez Rufino was born in the city of San Juan, Argentina around 1820. In his youth he was a merchant and was not involved in politics, apart from a certain sympathy for the pharmacist Amán Rawson and his friends in the Unitarian Party. After the Battle of Caseros (3 February 1852), in which the dictator Juan Manuel de Rosas was defeated by Justo José de Urquiza, Gómez became a prominent member of the Unitarian Party.
