Manuel Buzón
Manuel Buzón (December 18, 1904 – July 14, 1954) was a tango pianist, singer, leader and composer. Buzón was born in Las Flores district of Buenos Aires, to Spanish immigrants Manuel and Dolores Moreno. He was a performer from an early age, at the age of 10 he performed at a Club Social América event. In 1925 Buzón became a regular performer on Argentine radio. Between May 1929 and February 1930 He toured Spain playing in Barcelona, Madrid, Murcia, Alicante, Cartagena and Sevilla. Buzón resumed performing in August 1930 and returned to Argentine radio in 1931. He continued to appear on Argentine radio into the 1940s and he toured Argentina with his orchestra. Between 1942 and 1943 he made a number of recordings for Odeon Records Odeon Records is a record label founded in 1903 by Max Straus and Heinrich Zuntz of the International Talking Machine Company in Berlin, Germany. Odeon Records
Odeon Records is a record label founded in 1903 by Max Straus and Heinrich Zuntz of the International Talking Machine Company in Berlin, Germany. The label's name and logo come from the Odéon-Théâtre de l'Europe in Paris. History Straus and Zuntz bought the company from Carl Lindström that he had founded in 1897. They transformed the Lindström enterprise into a public company, the Carl Lindström A.G. and in 1903 purchased Fonotipia Records, including their Odeon-Werke International Talking Machine Company. International Talking Machine Company issued the Odeon label first in Germany in 1903 and applied for a U.S. trademark the same year. While other companies were making single-side discs, Odeon made them double-sided. Argentine Tango
Argentine tango is a musical genre and accompanying social dance originating at the end of the 19th century in the suburbs of Buenos Aires. It typically has a or rhythmic time signature, and two or three parts repeating in patterns such as ABAB or ABCAC. Its lyrics are marked by '' nostalgia'', sadness, and laments for lost love. The typical orchestra has several melodic instruments and is given a distinctive air by the bandoneon. It has continued to grow in popularity and spread internationally, adding modern elements without replacing the older ones.
