Mansfield is a town in Cattaraugus County, New York, United States. The population was 843 at the 2020 census. The name was thought to be that of a noble family in England. The town is centrally located in Cattaraugus County, north of Little Valley. History The area was first settled ''circa'' 1817. The town of Mansfield was formed in 1830 from part of the town of Town of Little Valley. The town was first called "Cecilius". The name "Mansfield" was adopted in 1831. Mansfield had a post office by 1840. It is implied to still have a post office as late as 1933 but merged with the Little Valley post office some time before the establishment of ZIP Codes in 1963. East Otto is a town in Cattaraugus County, New York, United States. The population was 977 at the 2020 census. The town, along with neighboring Otto, is named after an agent of the Holland Land Company, Jacob Otto. The town of East Otto is on the northern border of the county. New York State Route 353 (NY 353) is a north–south state highway located within Cattaraugus County, New York, in the United States. It extends for from an intersection with NY 417 in the city of Salamanca to a junction with U.S. Route 62 (US 62) in the hamlet of Dayton.
