Manifest File
A manifest file in computing is a file containing metadata for a group of accompanying files that are part of a set or coherent unit. For example, the files of a computer program may have a manifest describing the name, version number, license and the constituent files of the program. The term is borrowed from a cargo shipping procedure, where a ship manifest would list the crew and/or cargo of a vessel. Package manifest Linux distributions rely heavily on package management systems for distributing software. In this scheme, a package is an archive file containing a manifest file. The primary purpose is to enumerate the files which are included in the distribution, either for processing by various packaging tools or for human consumption. Manifests may contain additional information; for example, in JAR (a package format for delivering software written in Java programming language), they can specify a version number and an entry point for execution. The manifest may optionally cont ...

My Finest Work Yet
''My Finest Work Yet'' is the twelfth solo studio album by Andrew Bird, released on March 22, 2019. It is notable for being Andrew Bird's first overtly political album, covering topics such as divisive political atmosphere, climate change, and apathy. Background "Bloodless," which was released as the first single, was written between the 2016 election and Charlottesville. "I was trying to figure out a way to step back and look at everything that's going on," Bird said, "and look at how we're caught in this sort of death spiral." The album title, similar to previous album '' Are You Serious'', was originally a working title and an inside joke. When asked if it truly was his "finest work yet," Bird responded, "At some point, all of them are." The album cover was photographed by creative director Amanda Demme. It is a recreation of the 1793 painting ''The Death of Marat'' by Jacques-Louis David, which depicts Jean-Paul Marat, a journalist and revolutionary who was assassinated dur ...

It is "one of Australia's most viral videos", according to Sportsbet. ''The Guardian'', in 2019, called it "perhaps the pre-eminent Australian meme of the past 10 years". YouTube has several postings of the video with more than a million views each. It features a man who is being arrested at a Fortitude Valley Chinese restaurant. Wrestled into a police car, he speaks with the commanding voice of a trained stage actor. A succulent Chinese meal?", and "I see that you know your judo well." The video was made on 11 October 1991, but it was not uploaded to the Internet until 2009. A mystery developed about who the man was, with theories centring on Hungarian chess player Paul Charles Dozsa known for hi ...

Chessie (band)
Chessie is an American experimental music group consisting of Stephen Gardner and Ben Bailes. Gardner started Chessie in 1994, while he was a member of the Washington, D.C. post-rock band Lorelei. His first full-length as Chessie, ''Signal Series'', was issued in 1998 and was named Best Dance and DJ Album that year by Amazon.com. In 2000 Gardner was joined by Bailes and they have since worked as a duo. While ''Overnight'' received critical acclaim and a spot on a ''The New York Times'' music critic's best-of-2001 list, a follow-up record did not materialize until 2008, when the group released ''Manifest'' on Plug Research.
