Mandalar Thiri Stadium ( my, မန္တလာသီရိ အားကစားကွင်း) is a multi-use stadium, located in Mandalay, Myanmar. It located east of the Mingalar Mandalay. Its address is between 68th and 73rd, between 102A rd and 107 rd, beside of the Mandalay Football Academy. The stadium hosted the women's football tournament in the 2013 Southeast Asian Games and is also the home of Yadanarbon F.C. It has become one of the landmarks of Mandalay, Myanmar. Mandalay
Mandalay ( or ; ) is the second-largest city in Myanmar, after Yangon. Located on the east bank of the Irrawaddy River, 631km (392 miles) (Road Distance) north of Yangon, the city has a population of 1,225,553 (2014 census). Mandalay was founded in 1857 by King Mindon, replacing Amarapura as the new royal capital of the Konbaung dynasty. The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs ( my, အားကစားနှင့် လူငယ်ရေးရာ ဝန်ကြီးဌာန; MOSYA) administers Myanma sports and youth affairs. Myanmar women's national football team is a female association football team representing Myanmar and controlled by Myanmar Football Federation (MFF). Lethwei ( my, လက်ဝှေ့; IPA: ) or Burmese boxing, is a full contact combat sport from Myanmar that uses stand-up striking including headbutts. Lethwei is considered to be one of the most brutal martial arts in the world, * * * as the sport is practiced bareknuckle with only tape and gauze while fighters are allowed to strike with their fists, elbows, knees, and feet, and the use of headbutts is also permitted.
