Manasukkul Mathappu
''Manasukkul Mathappu'' () is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language film written and directed by Robert–Rajasekar. The film stars Prabhu, Saranya and Lissy, with Sarath Babu and Senthamarai in supporting roles. It is a remake of the 1986 Malayalam film ''Thalavattam'' which was inspired by the 1975 film '' One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'' which in turn was an adaptation of the 1962 novel '' One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'' by Ken Kesey. The film was released on 24 June 1988 and Prabhu won the Cinema Express Award for Best Actor – Tamil. Plot Shekar becomes mentally ill after his girlfriend Anita dies because of an electric short circuiting accident during a rock concert. He is admitted into an institution managed authoritatively by Nagaraj. Robert–Rajasekar
Robert–Rajasekar was an Indian filmmaking duo consisting of Robert Asirvatham and S. Rajasekar. They were active in film direction and cinematography in Tamil cinema of the 1980s. The duo are regarded to have ushered a "new wave" in Tamil cinema. Career In the 1970s, Robert Asirvatham and S. Rajasekar graduated as cameramen from the Madras Film Institute. They debuted as cinematographers with ''Kudisai'' (1979), a low budget film directed by Jayabharathi, also from the institute. Robert–Rajasekar's next film was to be ''Naalai Ulagam Namadhe'', which was never completed. They were later hired to work in ''Oru Thalai Ragam'' (1980), which emerged a major success and a breakthrough in their career. Janagaraj is an Indian actor who has appeared in over 200 films predominantly in Tamil cinema as a comedian or in supporting roles. He also starred in few Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi films. Early life Janagaraj was born to Vadivelu and Muthulakshmi in Chennai Tamil Nadu. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil language, Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. Kalki Sadasivam, T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child.
