''Man in Charge'' (Traditional Chinese: 幕後大老爺) is a twenty-episode 2009 TVB television drama. Synopsis Set during the Qing Dynasty of China in the mid 18th century, ''Man in Charge'' tells the story of an official adviser, Chau Bing (Kenneth Ma), and his relationship with the young county official, Shum Kwan-Pok (Matthew Ko). Bing obtains a secure job as Kwan-Pok's private adviser and the two become good friends. Lee Tim-sing (born 1949) is a Hong Kong television producer, director and writer. Career After graduating from secondary school, Lee joined Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) in 1969 as a set decorator. He became a director in 1975 and was promoted to a producer a few years later. Lee was also known for making cameo appearances in several television productions, including a guest appearance in an episode of the variety program ''Enjoy Yourself Tonight'' as "Street-sweeper Mau", a role for which he later became known. Kenneth Ma Kwok-ming (born 13 February 1974) is a Hong Kong actor contracted to TVB. Matthew Ko
Matthew Ko Kwan-yin (born 20 May 1984) is a Hong Kong actor. In September 2014, Ko left TVB after his contract ended to later sign with Catchy Tone Artists in Mainland China. At the age of seven, Matthew emigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada with his parents. He attended Dr. G.W. Williams Secondary School and played on the Wildcats Basketball team. He then entered York University. In 2003, he participated in the Toronto Sunshine Boyz election and won the championship. He returned to Hong Kong in 2004 and worked as a model. Leila Kong ( ;born 5 December 1981) known professionally as Leila Tong / Tong Ning () is a Hong Kong actress. She was born into an Indonesian Cantonese family. The Qing dynasty ( ), officially the Great Qing,, was a Manchu-led imperial dynasty of China and the last orthodox dynasty in Chinese history. It emerged from the Later Jin dynasty founded by the Jianzhou Jurchens, a Tungusic-speaking ethnic group who unified other Jurchen tribes to form a new "Manchu" ethnic identity.
