Otakon ( ) is an annual three-day anime convention held during July/August. It stands for Otaku Convention. Yasunori Honda
is a Japanese anime sound director who was born in Toyama Prefecture. He studied in the economics department at the Toyama University. After graduating, he moved to Tokyo with the aim of becoming a theatre director. He joined Zoukei Theater Company, which was supervised by Ushio Shima, and worked as an assistant director. In November 1966, he joined Tatsunoko Production. After becoming independent, he worked as a contractor for Tohokushinsha Film before founding Arts Pro in September 1974. Witchblade (anime)
is an anime series loosely based on the American comic book of the same name. Not an adaptation of the original story, the series has a new setting and characters. However, the anime version is considered controversial by some fans because GONZO has announced that the main character of the anime is of Japanese ethnicity but is not Itagaki, Shiori, or Yuka, one of the previous bearers of the Witchblade. Instead, it is a new character named Masane. Although this series sets up an entirely new story with all new characters, it is set in the same continuity as the comic book. Freezing (manga)
is a Japanese manga written by Dall-Young Lim and illustrated by Kwang-Hyun Kim. The series revolves around the invasion of Earth by an interdimensional force called the Nova, and a special military group of genetically engineered young women called Pandoras. Pandoras fight alongside their male partners known as Limiters, who are created to combat the Nova. The story centers around Kazuya Aoi, a Limiter whose late sister was a Pandora, and Satellizer el Bridget, a Pandora with a cold personality who is known as the "Untouchable Queen" due to her intense aphephobia. Both are enrolled at West Genetics Academy, which is a training school for Pandoras and Limiters.
