Mamiko Itō
{{Orphan, date=December 2015 Mamiko is a Polish publisher located in Nowa Ruda, a charming medieval town with a strong literary tradition (renowned literary festival “Góry Literatury” is held there annually). It was founded in 2000. Since then it has published well over 300 books. Its founder and owner is Apolonia Maliszewska. The name MaMiKo is a combination of the first two letters of the names Magda, Milena, and Kornel – the founder's children. Mamiko specializes in poetry and fiction. Nowa Ruda
Nowa Ruda ( cs, Nová Ruda, german: Neurode, szl, Nowŏ Ruda) is a town in south-western Poland near the Czech border, lying on the Włodzica river in the central Sudetes mountain range. it had 22,067 inhabitants. The town is located in Kłodzko County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship (in 1975–1998 it was in the former Wałbrzych Voivodeship). Piotr Florczyk (born 18 May 1978 in Kraków, Poland) is a poet, translator, essayist, and critic. Bohdan Zadura
Bohdan Zadura (born 18 February 1945 in Puławy) is a Polish poet, translator and literary critic. Biography Zadura debuted in 1962 in "Kamena". He was editor of the Lublin literary magazine "Akcent", from 2004 editor of "Twórczość" / Warsaw. He is a translator of poetry from the English, Ukrainian and Hungarian. Zadura had a participation in the German-Polish poets steamer 1997. Nike Award
The Nike Literary Award ( pl, Nagroda Literacka „Nike") is a literary prize awarded each year for the best book of a single living author writing in Polish and published the previous year. It is widely considered the most important award for Polish literature. Established in 1997 and funded by ''Gazeta Wyborcza'', Poland's second largest daily paper, and the consulting company NICOM, it is conferred annually in October. It is open for nominees from all literary genres, including non-fiction essays and autobiographies. Each year, a nine-member jury selects the laureate in a three-stage process. Twenty official nominees are accepted in May, out of which seven finalists are declared in September. The final decision does not take place until the day of the award ceremony in October. The award consists of a statuette referring to the Greek goddess Nike, designed by the prominent Polish sculptor Kazimierz Gustaw Zemła, and a cash prize of currently PLN 100,000 (ca. $25,000). Witold Gombrowicz
Witold Marian Gombrowicz (August 4, 1904 – July 24, 1969) was a Polish writer and playwright. His works are characterised by deep psychological analysis, a certain sense of paradox and absurd, anti-nationalist flavor. In 1937 he published his first novel, '' Ferdydurke'', which presented many of his usual themes: problems of immaturity and youth, creation of identity in interactions with others, and an ironic, critical examination of class roles in Polish society and culture. He gained fame only during the last years of his life, but is now considered one of the foremost figures of Polish literature. His diaries were published in 1969 and are, according to the ''Paris Review'', "widely considered his masterpiece", while ''Cosmos'' is considered, according to ''The New Yorker'', "his most accomplished novel". Mass is an intrinsic property of a body. It was traditionally believed to be related to the quantity of matter in a physical body, until the discovery of the atom and particle physics.
