Mamello Makhabane (born 24 February 1988) is a South African soccer player who plays as a midfielder for TS Galaxy Queens and the South Africa women's national team. Playing career Makhabane was included into the national team in 2005. After helping South Africa qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics, Makhabane was unable to participate in the tournament due to a groin injury sustained in September 2011. Odendaalsrus
Odendaalsrus is the oldest gold mining town in the Lejweleputswa District Municipality in the goldfields of the Free State province in South Africa. History It started out in 1912 as a ramshackle collection of farms and a central church that became a town. In April 1946 gold was struck on the farm ''Geduld'' near the town. This discovery was mentioned in Alan Paton's novel ''Cry, the Beloved Country''. On 5 December 2000, Odendaalrus was incorporated into the Matjhabeng Local Municipality along with the city of Welkom and the towns of Allanridge, Hennenman, Ventersburg and Virginia. 2014 African Women's Championship
The 2014 African Women's Championship, the 11th edition of the tournament, was held in Namibia. This tournament, organized by the Confederation of African Football, was also a qualification tournament for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, with top three qualifying for the finals in Canada. It was played on 11–25 October 2014. The tournament marked the first participation of Namibia in the African championship. Also for the first time the defending champions, Equatorial Guinea, were not taking part after failing to win their last qualifying round match. Nigeria defeated Cameroon 2–0 in the final to win their ninth title. Host Namibia were awarded the hosting rights in October 2011. It is the first time they will appear in the final tournament. There has been some criticism of the slow preparation and campaigning for the event.
